Just in case y'all didn't know, Ronnie used to play the piano for Elvis. Elvis would tell Ronnie give me a little more thunder on that piano. Ronnie remembered what Elvis had told him and used that same thunder on Smoky Mountain Rain.

A gift from a mate. Near 2 years ago now CH gifted me with Kasey's album Wayward Angel. I think
I had heard of the girl, but didnt know anything by her. Some great songs on that album. CH
follows up with this fifth album of hers, with Shane Nicholson, who I had never heard of. Turns
out he's Kasey's hubby. Both are fine singers, put em together and you have Gram/Emmylou or
Plant/Krause. Either duo seems close. I got three love tracks out of this on a first listen and
more will follow in time. One track did not seem to fit at all with the album, Jackson Hole.
Other than that, every track has room for growth. The album went to #1 in Oz and never touched
the chart here. That's just shameful.
questions for CH
have you heard any of Shanes solo albums?
Kasey and Shane had another one in 2012, have you heard it?

I looked at Ronnie's discog and as far as his hits go, I don't recall Elvis singing any of them. They did do collaborations of one or two songs,

WILLIE NELSON "tougher than leather" cd, 1983
Willie's twenty-second album...and the most recent studio album of his i own...also happens to be the one i like least,
a bit more of the country here than the jazzy overtones he seems to like...
the words 'rose' and 'roses' are on the titles of several tracks and those words are also sung on several others...i knew Willie had an affinity with plant, just wasnt aware he liked roses that much!
a big dissapointmet for me is this album, with several tracks i dont like, and if it wasnt for the three i do love, this would be a real fizzer...well below par for what i expect of Willie, but it does make the grade!

back to Music Head's questions re: shane nicholson and kasey chambers...
1.i do have the 2012 release by these two, its in the new pile of cds to listen to
2.i have enquired about Shane as a solo artist, apparently his music is nothing special, just run of the mill modern country, therefore i am more than likely not going to purchase any of it, but i will listen to him when i get a chance
