I am sick to death of hearing about BLM, Brexit and all the other crap going on. I am heading off to Scotland in a couple of months - going to meet a few friends who I worked with in Cameroun, sample some whiskey and chill out in the Highlands. Might even try to track down one Ian Anderson.
I will be playing 'Heavy Horses' in the car for sure!

to be fair, you guys in the UK/Ireland have got it worse than anywhere else at the moment as,like you mentioned, Brexit, we don't hear too much about it, but obviously we still got C-19 and BLM...

I am just sick of being in lockdown CH. If I catch this C-19 thing it's over for me. So be it. But you can't live in a bubble either. Life goes on. Just have to be a little more cautious than usual. Planning to hire a cottage in the Highlands, light a fire and knock back some Dalwhinnie and chill out to some Jethro Tull & Big Country sounds. Simple pleasures for a simple man. No phones, no iPads, no Internet, no social media, no nothing - just me and the moment. Can't wait.

im heading off in a few weeks for a week away to a small coastal town 700kms up north.
middle of nowhere.
just need to get away from all this crap like you,
no tv, no internet, just me and Dani, hiking, relaxing, throwing a line in the estuary and chilling out.
i'll be taking CCR for the drive as I find the band great driving music.
will pick the other music just before we drive out.
have a great trip mate.

Enjoy the trip. Plan to do some hiking in the Cairngorms as well. Middle of nowhere is where you find yourself. Many people don't get that.

im looking forward to it,
seeing the stars at night without the distraction of city lights makes you realise how insignificant we are in the scheme of things,
a real humbling experience.
unfortunately I have to take my phone but it will be used for emergencies only.

Looks lovely. Enjoy your trip my friend. As for looking at the stars - nothing beats the desert at night. I was in the Namibian desert during military training. The night sky is beyond awesome. Cold as hell at night but what a view!
