[h=3]Production[edit][/h]Principal photography began in late February 2012.[SUP][22][/SUP] Lasting for 38 days,[SUP][23][/SUP] shooting took place primarily at EUE/Screen Gems Studios as well as other locations in and around Wilmington, North Carolina.[SUP][24][/SUP] Filming also took place at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in March 2012 while the campus was on its spring break.[SUP][25][/SUP] Diana Pasulka, professor of Religious Studies at UNC-Wilmington, was the chief religious consultant for the project.[SUP][26][/SUP] After wrapping up in Wilmington on April 20, the film concluded its principal photography on April 26, 2012.[SUP][27][/SUP] All scenes were shot in chronological order.[SUP][19][/SUP]
The film was in post-production in August of the same year.[SUP][28][/SUP] Around 20 to 30 minutes of footage was removed from the first cut of the film, which initially ran at about two hours in duration.[SUP][29][/SUP] After positive test screenings, the final edit of the film was locked in December 2012 and awaited its summer release.[SUP][30]......:evil: Don't know how I missed this but after seeing The Conjuring almost 4 times I saw the credits and realized it was filmed right where I live. Surprised me greatly!! Knew there was something I liked about the film :laugh:[/SUP]

Have you seen Insidious also a film directed by James Wan (director of The Conjuring)? He did the Saw movies too among others. He is brilliant!! Great actor too!! He reminds me of Stephen King except he is cuter :laugh: I have not seen Insidious but I'm going to watch the movie. Missed it somehow.

I'm watching Poltergeist II now Steve. You have probably already seen the movie. I don't understand as swollen as Heather O'Rourke's face was in Poltergeist III why they did not know she was in trouble with Septic Shock which caused her to go into heart failure a few months before the film was released in 1988. That is a sign of Septic Shock. She was only 12. Wil Sampson (the Indian) died in 1987 of heart failure.

Interesting story about Stage 19 and Heather if you believe in ghosts http://heatherorourke.net/forum/topic/895-heather-orourke-ghost-stories/ I remember after 4 people had passed during the time of the filming of the Poltergeist series that Craig T Nelson said it made him think if he might be the next one in line to pass. Scared him. He went to Wil Sampson's grave site and said it made him more at ease. I like Craig!!

One of Kevin Kline's best performances - you will enjoy it if you like personal drama-type movies. I thought it was excellent. Not a fast-paced movie but very real. I must be biased because it also features Kristen Scott-Thomas, who in my opinion is just one beeeuuuutiful babe.

She's a honey - watch North Country. very good. Going to watch Camille Claudel tonight. Will let you know how it goes. About a female sculptor who lives in the shadow of her more famous lover.
