i dont see what all the fuss is in the Ukraine actually....
history:
when the old USSR disintergrated the US/UK got Russia and the then,newly independant States to the table at the UN...
the result was a signed treaty promoted by the US/UK that if any of the States had unrest which could cause the Russian economy to 'go down' that the Russian Govt would have the legal right to enter any of those states to reinstate law and order etc until the year 2020.
now Russia gets a fair whack of its monies from Ukraine, therefore they have every legal right to go in and sort it out.
that said, im not sure that the Russian intentions are 100% to what they agreed on, but they have the right to enter under their UN charter apparently.
again,
that said...both the President and the UK Prime Minister arent doing that great in the opinion polls so they have to do something to try to drag back public opinion...
i think the whole thing by all sides is a stupid game of "political chess" and no more!
anyway, im more intrigued with that Malaysian Airlines plane story at the moment

The mystery behind Flight 370 is interesting to say the least. Then there's the Oscar Pistorius trial.
As for the Russian annex of Crimea...Ukraine appeared to be a total mess politically for months so Putin decided that he had to grab Crimea in order to gain access to the Mediterranean Sea! He didn't know what the final outcome of Ukraine would be and it wasn't certain that the new Ukrainian govt would still allow Russian Navy in Sebastopol!...at least there has been no major conflict between Ukraine and Russia..yet! The referendum was the peaceful solution!
It appears to me that Russia will now succumb to a period of isolationism! They have alienated the West! This incident reminds me of the Cold War.

I think the problem is America has to stick their nose in everyone else's problems. We need to bring all the troops home and tend to the problems here. Let the others take care of their own. There are old and disable people right here in the USA. If we stopped spending money in every other country everytime they get in a spat we might be able to help our own. Our Government needs to remember charity begins at home. We are paying my Mom's bills which is getting us in debt. She is at a assisted living facility and can't even pay for her meds. We are paying for them. The Government is giving my alcoholic brother a check every month to stay drunk. That needs to stop too. He is drawing a check and still working.

just how world events in politics actually affect the world
most people just don't have a clue of what goes on
