Weekly Music Charts for 2017 - CRAZY-HORSE - 15-03-2017 i'll probably give Moonshine Bandits (#111) a listen this week... could go either way, expecting either modern country/redneck country or bluegrass Weekly Music Charts for 2017 - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-03-2017 Australian "singles" charts or week ending 18th March: Ed Sheeranâs âShape Of Youâ has notched up its tenth consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The last single to spend ten straight weeks in the top spot was LMFAOâs âParty Rock Anthemâ in April-June 2011. On this weekâs Singles Chart, Sheeran holds 14 spots in the top 50, including three spots in the top ten. âGalway Girlâ is the only track to have moved up the chart, climbing from #10 to #7. In its fourth week in the top 50, Bruno Marsâ âThatâs What I Likeâ hits the top ten for the first time. It becomes Marsâ ninth top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart. After dropping top #17 last week, Jon Bellionâs âAll Time Lowâ jumps back up to #10, one spot below its previous peak. After two straight weeks at #23, Jax Jonesâ âYou Donât Know Meâ jumps into the top 20 for the first time. Itâs the trackâs seventh week in the chart. This weekâs Singles Chart also features new peaks for Zeddâs âStayâ (#6) and Adeleâs âWater Under The Bridgeâ (#23). Debuts: #19: Stargate Feat. P!nk & Sia âWaterfallâ â Norwegian production Stargate appear on the Singles Chart for the first time under their own name with âWaterfallâ. The track features vocals by both P!nk and Sia. #42: Lorde âLiabilityâ â A week on from debuting at #4 with âGreen Lightâ, Lorde scores another Singles Chart entry from the forthcoming Melodrama album with âLiabilityâ. Itâs the Kiwi artistâs sixth top 50- entry. #43: Sheppard âKeep Me Crazyâ â Brisbaneâs Sheppard make their first top 50 appearance since 2014 with âKeep Me Crazyâ. The track gives the bandâs a fourth appearance in the ARIA top 50. (re-entry at #31). Debuts: #6: Soundtrack âBeauty And The Beastâ â Ahead of the release of the live action version of Disneyâs Beauty And The Beast, the filmâs soundtrack makes its ARIA Charts debut. The album features performances from cast members Emma Watson, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci and more. It also includes Ariana Grande and John Legendâs recording of the title track, originally recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. The original Beauty And The Beast soundtrack peaked at #18 in July 1992. #16: The Shins âHeartwormsâ â Five years on from Port Of Morrow (#4 Mar. â12), American indie stalwarts The Shins return with Heartworms. The bandâs fifth studio album is their third to chart in the top 50 in Australia #19: Laura Marling âSemper Feminaâ â Laura Marlingâs sixth studio album becomes her fifth to chart locally. Semper Feminaâs release comes two years on from Short Movie (#30 Mar. â15). Marlingâs first chart appearance was with I Speak Because I Can (#7 Mar. â10). #44: Colin Hay âFierce Mercyâ â Former Men At Work front man and ARIA Hall Of Fame member Colin Hay scores his first solo appearance in the ARIA top 50 with Fierce Mercy. Last week the album set a record as the fastest-selling album by a male artist ever with 672,000 sales. Ed also claims the Official Chart double for a second week, as Shape Of You notches up a tenth week at the summit with 106,000 sales across all formats. All 16 of ÷âs songs hold inside the Top 40 this week, nine of which are in the Top 10. Behind Shape Of You is Galway Girl (2) and Castle On The Hill (3). Featuring Swedish artist Zara Larsson, itâs the third single released from Clean Banditâs forthcoming second album. The track also features on Larssonâs album So Good, which has debuted at #7 on this weekâs Albums Chart. #45: Martin Jensen âSolo Danceâ â Danish DJ and producer Martin Jensen cracks the top 50 for the first time with âSolo Danceâ. The track debuted in the top 100 last week at #52. More Life features âFake Loveâ (#16 Dec. â16) and the new single âPassionfruitâ (new at #16 this week). Collaborators on More Life include Kanye West, Sampha, 2 Chainz, Young Thug and more. #7: Zara Larsson âSo Goodâ â The second album from Zara Larsson gives the Swedish artist her first appearance in the ARIA top 50. So Good includes the MNEK collaboration âNever Forget Youâ (#3 Nov. â15), as well as further singles âLush Lifeâ (#4 Jan. â16), âAinât My Faultâ (#17 Oct. â16) and âI Would Likeâ (#16 Jan. â17). A collaboration with British trio Clean Bandit, âSymphonyâ, has debuted at #42 on this weekâs Singles Chart. #8: Milky Chance âBlossomâ â German act Milky Chance scores their second top ten entry with Blossom. The follow-up to Sadnecessary (#8 Jun. â14) is the bandâs second album and includes the single âCocoonâ (#10 Feb. â17). #14: Depeche Mode âSpiritâ â Electronic music veterans Depeche Mode return with their fourteenth studio album, Spirit. The album comes four years on from Delta Machine (#16 Apr. â13) and is the trioâs eighth studio album to chart in the top 50. #21: Spoon âHot Thoughtsâ â Texas indie band Spoon score their highest peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with Hot Thoughts. The groupâs ninth studio album is their third to chart locally, following on from Transference (#47 Jan. â10) and They Want My Soul (#43 Aug. â14). #29: Vera Lynn âVera Lynn 100â â Released to mark her 100th birthday on 20 March, the new release from Dame Vera Lynn features her original vocals set to new re-orchestrated versions of her most beloved songs. Dame Lynn last charted with We'll Meet Again (The Very Best Of Vera Lynn) (#21 Oct. â09). #32: Gary Clark Jr. âLive North America 2016â â American guitar hero Gary Clark Jr. picks up his third top 50 entry. Live North America 2016 is Clarkâs second live album and was recorded during the tour in support of The Story of Sonny Boy Slim (#18 Sept. â15). #33: Elevation Worship âThere Is A Cloudâ â A live album from American contemporary worship group Elevation Worship. Itâs their second album to chart, following Here As In Heaven (#27 Feb. â16). #35: 2Cellos âScoreâ â With their fourth album Score, Croatian duo 2Cellos make their second top 50 appearance. The follow-up to Celloverse (#24 Jan. â15) includes tracks made famous in film and TV productions including Game Of Thrones, Rain Man, Titanic, Gladiator and more. #48: Chuck Berry âChuck Berry: The Definitive Collectionâ â This album makes its debut following the passing of Chuck Berry, one of rock ânâ rollâs founding fathers, at the age of 90. Itâs the first Chuck Berry album to ever chart in the ARIA top 50 and includes some of Berryâs best-loved tracks including âMaybelleneâ, âYou Canât Catch Meâ, âRock and Roll Musicâ, âSchool Daysâ and âJohnny B.
