Not my thing but I guess there's a fan or two out there somewhere. Former Runaways guitarist, with her 7th solo effort, and the first since 1997, pushing some punky death metal. She must have got bored. Hubby Jim Gillette from former hair band Nitro helps out on most tracks. All are self penned so I gotta give her that. Sex seems to be the over riding theme, but it is metal. Not many clips available so seek 'em out if you dare.

2005 Solo project for Aaron Gillespie, who is lead singer for metalcore outfit Underoath has turned into a full blown band for his second release. The metalcore has been dropped for more of a rock feel. Hands is the first single.

Aussie rockers back with their ninth album. Although not as successful as the previous 3 efforts, it did reach #4 in the U.K. and #15 in the U.S. with the tile track reaching #26 and Guns For Hire #37 on thr Mainstream Rock U.S. Billboard chart. I agree that those prior albums were superior to this but I do like this album. I've always had to struggle past both Scott and Johnson's screaching. Don't that hurt? They always sounded the same to me. Nothing great here for me but it holds up. Some real nice live footage to watch crazy Angus work out, and Brian has worked out quite a bit it seems. This group proves you don't need a 5 minute guitar jam to produce good rock 'n' roll.

Thrash metal before it was thrashed. Metallicas Dave Mustaine was the founding member and the only one to remain throughout. His drug problems were well known and reportedly led to the constant lineup changes. This 4th album was slightly more subdued than previous efforts and reached #23 on the U.S. charts. It was to be Daves first "sobered up" album. Still a little too metal for me.

Haven't heard these guys in a long time. Don't own anything by them but I have heard a few. This is their 14th studio album so they must be doing something right. Formed in L.A. in 1982, only 1 remaining member from the original lineup, frontman Blackie Lawless. The band name acronym stands for We Are Sexual Perverts, although that was later denied. This album is themed around the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It contains two covers of Deep Purples Burn and Chuck Berrys Promised Land. Shouldn't have touched that one. The band has called it quits twice only to rise from the dead. Never noticed before but Blackie sounds just like Meat Loaf.
