RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-02-2020 according to the worlds oldest man (112 and 344 days) the secret to a long life is don't get angry and always smile, hey, that's what we should all be doing anyway. https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/world/worlds-oldest-man-says-never-getting-angry-and-keeping-a-smile-on-your-face-is-the-secret-to-long-life-as-he-celebrates-his-achievement-aged-112-years-and-344-days/ar-BBZVgi2?ocid=spartanntp RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-02-2020 a mystery species of homids that we haven't discovered yet is responsible for up to 25% of our genes....interesting! https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/techandscience/scientists-find-evidence-of-ghost-population-of-ancient-humans/ar-BBZW43W?ocid=spartanntp RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Dissily Mordentroge - 13-02-2020 (11-02-2020, 03:54)CRAZY-HORSE Wrote: ^^Much as I admire Buttigeig I doubt any of the other candidates would want to either work with him as Vice President or work as Vice President with him as the head. I also fear Buttigieg doesn’t show sufficient. passion and anger in his public appearances.OK,he’s a clear thinker and expresses himself well but his even handedness and cool approach could have many potential voters equating it with being a gutless gay. I know he’s far from guttless but in any US Presidential race appearances matter given the insane media frenzy and the stupidity of a large portion of the electorate. (not unique to the US by the way) RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Subtle Q - 13-02-2020 Bernie is the best of the Democratic field. Not that that's saying much...lol RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Dissily Mordentroge - 13-02-2020 (13-02-2020, 09:54)Subtle Q Wrote: Bernie is the best of the Democratic field. Not that that's saying much...lolTotally disagree but I’ve learnt not to get into anything like detailed political discussions on forums. All I want to say it so called American democracy is nothing like democratic. RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 29-02-2020 saw this interesting article yesterday: 2004, a 13yo female vocalist (Jojo), ive not heard of her, had a #1 hit on the Billboard charts then basically disappeared again. seems as though her record company was basically screwing with her career. I have no reason not to believe her story and feel so sad for her being a pawn in a game: heres her story: https://www.msn.com/en-au/entertainment/entertainmentmusic/at-13-jojo-was-the-youngest-female-artist-to-have-a-no1-hit-then-she-was-forced-to-stop-singing/ar-BB10u6zx?ocid=spartanntp RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 05-03-2020 with so many horrible and negative stories on the news I thought this little piece of positive news was worth posting: https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/canberra-bus-driver-who-dropped-lost-boy-home-to-his-front-door-was-just-doing-his-job/ar-BB10L4tq?ocid=spartanntp RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Ruby - 06-03-2020 ^Nice story - as it should be. Covid 19 has landed in SA - oh joy. Inevitable I suppose. Sales of hand sanitizer are sky rocketing - the beer, not so much. RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 06-03-2020 people are going overboard with the Corona Virus thing... our major stores have run out of toilet paper, bottled water, sanitizer, out hardware stores have run out of face masks saw an interview on CNN with someone from CDC (cant recall his name) he said, to put it simply, its like another strain of the flu, the old, the sick, the very young and those with immune system issues are at serious risk, everyone else will just get flu like symptoms and recover in a week or so. strange because I was talking to a nurse I know a month ago, she said the exact same thing then. RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Jerome - 10-03-2020 A good site to keep track of the coronavirus issue. https://coronavirus-map.com/ The Italian Tourism industry is well and truly screwed. Sad to see. The government, if you can call it that, in Ireland have finally woken up to the fact that the welfare of the population is far more important than St Patrick's Day. Which reminds me of an old Native American saying - I am ad-libbing here but it goes something like this - 'only when the last bird is taken from the sky, the last fish taken from the stream and the last beast slaughtered upon the land - only then will man realize that he cannot eat money' |
