Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-09-2015 I loved this mini-speech from Christie. One of the highlights for me of the Debate! Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 19-09-2015 who cares if Obama was/is Muslim??? being of Christian background is not a prerequisite for entering the race to becoming a US President(or even being one....) the three prerequisites are as follows(according the US Constitution) #1: be a natural born U.S. citizen. Someone may be born abroad, but only if both parents were citizens of the United States. The only exception to this was for those around at the time the Constitution was adopted. Their requirement was that they had to be a citizen when the Constitution was adopted. #2: be at least 35 years of age. #3: have lived in the United States for at least 14 years to be president. This does not have to be consecutive or even the 14 years leading up to becoming president.Obviously, a lot more is needed than this. The candidate must be acceptable to a large number of people across the nation. Nonetheless, these are the minimum constitutional requirements for someone to become president of the United States. Trump is and always has been a mud slinging smug upstart who thinks money can buy his way into anywhere. whether you like or dislike Obama, he has done nothing wrong(he ticks ALL the boxes)....he is over thirty-five, he was born in a US State, his parents are US citizens and he has spent at least fourteen years of his life living in the US....end of story! he nominated and he was voted in legally by the citizens of the United States of America. Politics - Jerome - 19-09-2015 Preach it brother! Politics - Music Head - 19-09-2015 all together now We are the world We are the children Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-09-2015 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:who cares if Obama was/is Muslim??? I care! So do most people. His dad and mom are dead and his dad is from Kenya. Face it, he lied when he tried to remedy his comment. He had to be a citizen of Indonesia to go to school there. What has he done for America except apologize for America to terorrist countries and pour terrorists over the border. He has more respect for Iran who wants to destroy America than he does Israel. The whole world is in turmoil and with the terrorists entering our borders everyday, it's juat a matter of time before we will be attacked again. Mexicans are not the only ones entering America everyday. Anyone who thinks they are the only ones is just blind! Christianity has nothing to do with this . That's all for me. I'm fighting a losing battle. Except to say I do not hear you complaining about Obama's comment saying he is a Christian. Is he blinded by his faith if he is a Christian. He said it. I didn't. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 19-09-2015 again.... he ticks ALL of the boxes in order to become US President according to the Constitution... yes he lied....you name one President that has never lied(or politician from any country)?! he step-father was Indonesian, if the family moved there for a time Barrack would be enrolled to go to school because he was living there with a citizen of that country, as would anyone who moved to the US to live with a relation who is American... as for dual citizenship, having a stepparent and not a paternal parent as a national of a country does not guarantee the step child citizenship... just about every country in the world allows for dual-citizenship, I only know of one that doesn't allow it...China. if we want to talk terror links lets discuss the Bush/Bin Laden Family... the Bush family have known, befriended and conducted business with the Bin Ladens for years... as soon as 9/11 occurred what did they do?....fly the Bin Laden's out of the US with the knowledge their son was a known wanted terrorist! in fact, knowing their son was a wanted terrorist, why did they allow the family to enter the US in the first place? why didnt they arrest the family and question them as a matter of National Security as to whether their son was involved in 9/11??? as for me not saying "Obama is blinded by his faith".... you were the one who stated you dislike Beatles over a comment Lennon made that was taken out of context... the secular religious leaders in the bible belt took it on their own to decipher what he said for their own purpose and thousands of followers blindly believed what they told them about the comments instead of making their own minds up... "blind faith" ,to put it simpy, means, putting all your faith in someone else without questioning why/who/what/when or where... which is exactly what they did to Lennon.... they hears the original comment he made(out of context)but when they had the chance to hear what he said explained to them their ears and eyes were closed! that is ignorance, and as we know, ignorance is pure bliss.... this is not about "fighting a losing battle" Linda, its about "opinion"... and with opinion comes a responsibility to bring foreward facts and not innuendo, when opinion lacks factual material it blurs the line and becomes fiction and if enough believe fiction the truth is lost. Politics - Lovely Linda - 21-09-2015 You were the one who accused me of being blinded by my faith (a personal attack btw). So, if Obama is a Christian could he not in your opinion be blined by his faith. That's all I'm saying. I do have facts. Maybe not the ones you want to hear but never the less. As far as Bush goes he is not someone I would support. His second term was a disaster. I have stated here that I will try to separate myself from anyone who has ties to him. We do not need Jeb Bush! His family has done enough damage. I know about Bush and Bin Laden's family. That was a disgrace! And, him inviting the Saudi's to his ranch while we know what their contribution to 9/11 was, it was a slap in the face to the families of the lost loved ones. Politics - Lovely Linda - 21-09-2015 BTW, I did not hear about what John said in church. I heard it on the news. I'm done talking about John. This is suppose to be Politics. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 21-09-2015 Lovely Linda Wrote:You were the one who accused me of being blinded by my faith (a personal attack btw). I like to read facts, the simple fact is Obama is qualified via the US Constitution to have been given the opportunity to run for President... all this rubbish stirred up by Trump year ago about not being American, not being born there, being Muslin, attending some school off shore etc is crap... the US population were given the opportunity to not elect him for a second term, but they did... does that not say to you that: A) the majority of voters couldn't care less about that rubbish 2) the majority of voters acknowledge that what he has done is within the bounds of the Constitution? |
