Have not heard the first 2 albums, and I guess I jumped in because of I Don't Like The Drugs. Although this is not my normal gerre, I do enjoy
pushing the envelope on occasion. I can handle Marilyn in small doses. I get a NIN vibe on this album. His breakthrough was the previous album,
which remains his best selling but this was the first to hit #1, here, down under, and the great white north. This is the second best selling
but the novelty wore off soon after. Sales have consistently declined since this album but the band is still going, with a release in 2012. Had
no idea this was a concept album, #2 in a set of 3. Looks like I jumped in in the middle of a story. Like anybody would know the difference
other than Marilyn Manson freaks. Some retailers here refused to stock this album because of the cover. A sure fire way to increase sales, ban
it.

I Dont Like The Drugs ....was the first MM song i remember hearing,followed by Dope Show...
album cover was controversial here also,some stockists refused to put it on the shelves also,like you said...sure way to generate sales,ban it!
jury at this end is still out on this one,cant decide whether i really like the album, and MM in small doses only,i cant listen to a full album of theirs in one solitary sitting, needs to be done over two halves...just like the old vinyl days.
