What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 03-10-2016 Jerome Wrote:Sounds like it could be a Roger Waters solo album - even the opening vocal reminds me of Waters. A super find Ruby! Really like that retro guitar sound and the keyboards. Why is the 'A' in a box with square corners while the others have rounded corners? I assume it supposed to mean something???? Iâm not entirely sure but to hazard a guess, Iâd say that it represents the Makers Mark which would usually be a different shaped stamp to the assay and other marks. Theyâve got 18 in there because itâs their 18[SUP]th[/SUP] album and the u makes it 18 carat gold which ties in with the whole El Dorado thingy as well. In numerology, of course, 18 is a 9 which is such a great number and so interesting mathematically. Donât know if thereâs an actual makerâs mark somewhere in the world, of an A in a square box, and who that might be if there is, but there are further patterns at play as well â thereâs iron - FE â ok â itâs not Fe, but still â and then thereâs the letter âRâ which is, serendipitously, the hallmark date letter for the year 2016. UN is no doubt United Nations. Quite fascinating things, hallmarks! What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 03-10-2016 You melt my brain. I have probably learnt more from your posts than I ever did in all those years in school! What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 03-10-2016 I'm not sure she is from our world What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-10-2016 I think Ruby should run for President....I'd vote for her for sure. Shed bamboozle those politicians in a heartbeat and solve the problems of the world in her first week in office!!!! What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 04-10-2016 I'll get the campaign posters ready. MH, you tell the American media we're cancelling the current election and that we have a new candidate. Problem fixed! What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 04-10-2016 ^^^Lol!! Thatâs all very hilarious!! I have quite enough trouble steering my own little planet thanks, which wobbles off course with alarming regularity. BTW - I think people should stop using that megalomaniacal narcissistic idiotâs name! Itâs on the tips of everyoneâs tongues - plastered all over every type of media and I believe that gives it (and by default, him) enormous power. I refuse to utter the word at all â ever - even at the turn of a friendly card â¦. Itâs a one woman protest at this point, but hey â who knows â it might catch on. What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 04-10-2016 CHEAP TRICK "busted" cd, 1990 career stats: studio albums..................17 singles............................64 this album..........................#48 US...#36 AU singles: "cant stop fallin' in love".......#12 US...#26 AU...#6 CAN "wherever would I be"..........#50 US...............#59 CAN "if you need me".......................no chart action "back in blue"...........................no chart action the band's eleventh and still going strong with songs IMO... mind you, their sales had just about tanked at this stage of their career... I don't care though, theres some fine CH branded rock and roll on this one (as always!)... and ive finally posted one of theirs that MH hasn't got in his collection...woo hoo!.... well worth getting IMO, up there with their best albums (well, from the nine studio ones I have!)... I LOVE THIS ALBUM worst track: you drive, i'll steer best track: I cant understand it tracks: 1...black in blue ** 2..i cant understand it *** 3...wherever would I be ** 4...if you need me ** 5...cant stop fallin' in love *** 6...busted ** 7...walk away (with Chrissie Hynde) *** 8...you drive, i'll steer * 9...when you need someone *** 10.had to make you mine ** 11.rock and roll tonight *** 3s=5 2s=5 1s=1 rating: 2.4 What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 04-10-2016 Ruby Wrote:BTW - I think people should stop using that megalomaniacal narcissistic idiotâs name! What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 06-10-2016 CHEAP TRICK "lap of luxury" cd, 1988 career stats: studio albums................17 singles..........................64 this album..................#16 US...#14 AU...#11 CAN singles: "the flame"................#1 US....#1 AU...#1 CAN...#77 UK "don't be cruel"..........#4 US....#4 AU.................#77 UK "lets go"..................#32 US..#67 AU "ghost town"........................#75 AU the band's tenth studio album.... contains probably what many consider their greatest ballad in "the flame"... excellent cover on here also of Presley's "don't be cruel" which is, IMO, better than the original... band are leaning a bit more towards the rock ballad thing on this one, but theres still some fine rock and roll happening... not sure what I consider their best album but this one isn't far off it... I LOVE THIS ALBUM worst track: ghost town best track: the flame tracks: 1...lets go *** 2...no mercy ** 3...the flame *** 4...space ** 5...never had a lot to lose *** 6...don't be cruel *** 7...wrong side of love ** 8...all we need is a dream ** 9...ghost town ** 10.all wound up ** 3s=4 2s=6 1s=0 rating: 2.4 What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 07-10-2016 ![]() PAUL & LINDA McCARTNEY "ram" 2011 boxset: DISC 3: first disc was the original remastered album, the second, the "thrillington" album and this, the third disc in the boxset... contains five previously unreleased tracks...all crap mind you... plus the non album single "another day" and a couple of non album "b sides" which incidently, are the only three things on the disc worth listening to IMO...
