Hats off to Mr Young for still delivering the goods after the gold rush. concerts thread. - gottaluvmusic - 15-03-2013 Neil Finn and Paul Kelly...what a concert. For a start, perfect venue..open air concert in our beautiful Kings Park. For a start I knew a few songs of Split Enz and also of Crowded House but really had no idea on what to expect of Finn. This guy totally suprised me. His voice is so so clear and he doesnt falter one bit when holding notes. He has such a soothing sound and is so easy to listen to. Kelly - has a more husky/whiny sound, and is equally great to listen to. He too did a really great job last night. The two of them, when they sang together was brilliant. Considering their completely different styles of voice, they harmonised so well. Im impressed by the way they complimented each other so well when singing together. Not a single song I didnt like tonight (some were ones I cant recall ever hearing). Asides the singing sides of things, the two were also quite entertaining with their witty remarks to each other. LOVED THE CONCERT AND VENUE...would see them again and again if the opportunity arose. concerts thread. - CRAZY-HORSE - 16-03-2013 NEIL FINN & PAUL KELLY last night damn it!, i think Dani summed it up perfectly... i just found a series of clips from a show they a couple of weeks ago so for a look at exactly what we saw last night click on the linked page then click on the 'play' button for each individual track to see and listen to these talented guys live... http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/paul-kelly-and-neil-finn/2013/brisbane-convention-centre-brisbane-australia-bdb093e.html concerts thread. - SteveO - 16-03-2013 just curious as to what sonng or songs they sung together and did they do any covers? concerts thread. - CRAZY-HORSE - 17-03-2013 SteveO Wrote:just curious as to what sonng or songs they sung together and did they do any covers? go to the link in my original post SteveO and click on the play button for each song to watch the songs... but yes, they dueted on most songs...the only cover they did was 'words of love' (buddy holly) concerts thread. - JamesBond - 19-03-2013 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:go to the link in my original post SteveO and click on the play button for each song to watch the songs... From Sweden, they write very good original songs, some black metal growling, some hard rock, some folk, some jazzy numbers and some prog rock!...A complete band all around! I thoroughly enjoyed this concert, I probably wouldn't have even known that they were playing here if it hadn't have been for the watchful eye of one of our esteemed MD members! Katatonia are also from Sweden. They are a black metal band but recently have switched to clean vocals and a hard rock feel. I enjoyed them also.A great time had by all! concerts thread. - lerry - 08-07-2013 can anyone tell me upcoming new concert in new-york city..?
