What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 29-11-2015 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Take your time and think about learning Russian Ruby.... I now dub thee the master of the terrible pun â just try to keep the standard up, ok?! Lol! ⦠not to worry, Rush(inâ) is not my strong suit, and I do have some Grace Under Pressure ⦠![]() What Are You Listening To? - Ruby - 30-11-2015 Pocoâs Ghost Town â online listen. I like it â a lot. I would definitely buy it if it jumped out at me from somewhere, but itâs not something I would necessarily go out of my way to procure. That being said, one puts that kind of challenge out there and chances are it will pop up everywhere! Itâs an unwritten rule of the universe. So I expect to see it soon â¦. The title and lead track â What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 14-12-2015 Roxy Music - Avalon - just in the mood for this tonight. What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-12-2015 PHIL COLLINS ".....hits!" cd, 1998 solo career stats: studio albums..........8 singles...................45 this album.............#1 UK...#2 AU...#6 US...#1 CAN singles: "true colours".............#26 UK...#112 US I have Phil's first three studio albums on vinyl.... I find them to be patchy to say the least, too much filler, too much of the same sounds and little variation but, as a singles artist I thought he put out some consistently good quality material... he released a couple covers as singles over the years....you cant hurry love, groovy kind of love, and the new song off this which was a cover of Cyndi Lauper's classic "true colours"(love Cyndi's original, hate Phil's cover BTW!)... but love his covers of you cant hurry love and groovy kind of love.... a couple on here I don't like, but the vast majority are very good or excellent IMO... all up a good introduction or anyone not familiar with Phil a soloist.... I LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: true colours best track: against all odds tracks: 1...another day in paradise *** 2...true colours * 3...easy lover ** 4...you cant hurry love *** 5...two hearts *** 6...I wish it would rain down ** 7...against all odds *** 8...something happened on the way to heaven ** 9...separate lives ** 10.both sides of the story * 11.one more night *** 12.sussudio ** 13.dance into the night * 14.a groovy kind of love *** 15.in the air tonight *** 16.take me home * 3s=7 2s=5 1s=4 rating: 2.2 What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 22-12-2015 from the vinyl shed ![]() San Francisco bands fifth album wiki says "It is a concept album presented as a motivational business document. too deep for me but the music sucked I loved White Punks On Dope and followed the band up through Love Bomb cause they were weird I guess just your standard rock of the day on this one it was the first album after a label switch makes me wonder if they were dropped by the previous this album reached #36 here one of the singles What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 22-12-2015 I remember being fascinated by this album cover (don't ask!) but I never bought it. Years ago, in the days of real record stores, I used to thumb through all those wonderful vinyl delights and if an album cover caught my eye I would investigate further or buy it purely based on the front pic. I bought a lot of lemons using this method but I also discovered a lot of fantastic music. This is one that got away. What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 25-12-2015 ELP - Works Volume 1 - Stunning album in every aspect. What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 25-12-2015 Steely Dan - Greatest Hits - a double CD of brilliant tracks. What Are You Listening To? - SteveO - 25-12-2015 Nice choices J Man! What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 26-12-2015 I normally listen to instrumental music over the festive season simply because the radio is filled with the bog same standard crap tracks every year unless you become a bit creative with the dial. And I just get sick of hearing the same songs/lyrics over and over. In Ireland you have the same TV shows with the same 'old cronies club' TV hosts and the same music every year. The same set of Greatest Hits albums get re-re-re-released just before Xmas. They should just record everything they did this year and play it back again for the next 50 years. No-one would even notice. Sometimes (and I'm not kidding here) you can actually predict what song is going to come up next. I kid you not. |
