Soundgarden/Rage Against The Machine members form supergroup, naw never mind. Formed in 2001, disbanded in 2007 after 3 albums. This is their first and most successful, debuting at #7 on the Billboard charts. With 5 singles, something had to click. I think Cornell won out on the influence side.

Atomic Rooster - Headline News - 1983 - **

Prog/rock UK band that never charted in the states, but had 2 minor hits over there, neither of which is on this album, their 7th and last. Formed from Crazy World of Arthur Brown members. Band leader Vincent Crane went on to play with Dexy's Midnight Runners after Rooster disbanded in 1984 upon completion of this album. David Gilmour majes a guest appearance here. Since there were zero clips available for this album, I did include one from a Top Of The Pops performance in 1971 of their #4 UK hit off ofa previous release.

Third album. With the minor success of the first single, I Can See For Miles, Townshend was reportedly quite ticked off at the record buying public, as he had forecast a #1 record. He then set his sights on other more lengthy projects, resulting in Tommy. Between tracks on this album are fake commercials and psa's from a pirate radio station, leading to lawsuits. Also noteworthy is that Daltry only had solo vocals on 3 tracks, with Townshend performing most.
