RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 19-04-2021

Still no sign of any official vaccines here yet. They've opened a register for over 60's but who knows when the rollout will happen. Meanwhile, we are cruising at the bottom of a second wave - that's if the reporting is correct. Not hearing about so many cases - mind you every second person seems to have had it. I don't think we know the half of it - people have just isolated (or not) if they suspect they have it and I spoke to someone the other day who had it without showing any symptoms at all - only found out he was positive because he had to take a test to go into hospital for a back operation. Not a young person either. It's a very strange thing indeed - seemingly no way to tell how it will affect you until you have it.

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 19-04-2021

the UK has reported a number of 'spreaders/carriers', those who have it without showing symptoms, just like you mentioned Ruby,
now that is a scary thought!

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-04-2021

the WHO just announced on BBC World the virus is still spreading according to worldwide deaths.
theres been 3 million deaths from C-19, heres the apparent breakdown:

1st million deaths took 9 months
2nd million took 4 months and...
3rd million took just 3 months

The shit has truly hit the fan in India - https://uk.yahoo.com/news/system-collapsed-india-descent-covid-111555977.html

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-04-2021

our State Federal Govt is still allowing people to leave the country on compassionate grounds ie funerals etc.
a lot of these people are going back to India and returning on their dual citizenship passports, shouldnt be allowed IMO.
there should be no leaving and returning for any reason, especially to countries like India IMO.

but yes, returing to your previous post Jerome....
India is in so deep theyll get 'the bends' if they come out of it too quick....period!

and i dont care what official stats say, China was probably in the same position if theyre not at this moment.

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-04-2021

145.4 million confirmed cases worldwide:

we get two community cases of Covid and go into a three day sharp lockdown...
this is how we treat the virus and have done since day one...

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-04-2021

146.1 million cases now (a rise of 700,000 in less than 12hrs!)
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?%20

India records 330,000 new cases yesterday
hospitals running out of oxygen (not in the air, just in breathing apparatus!)

Germany set to go back into total lockdown as cases three-fold since April 1st.
huge spikes in many other countries also...

BBC World now says W.H.O is looking at using malaria injections as possible vaccines against Covid-19
(and it was only the middle of last year the experts all scoffed at Trump !)

RE: Covid-19 - Ruby - 24-04-2021

I don’t think that’s right CH. A malaria vaccine is in development and they may be using similar methodology and rollout as the Covid vaccine but it’s not the same thing at all. The headlines might be confusing. Fake news!  Tongue

RE: Covid-19 - Jerome - 26-04-2021

New Delhi - one person dying every four minutes now. India in complete chaos at the moment.
India's richest people are fleeing on private jets as the country hits almost 350,000 COVID-19 infections in another daily global record (yahoo.com)

RE: Covid-19 - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-04-2021

^^

the numbers in India are mindboggling and the footage horrific, shocking stuff Jerome.

147.8 million official cases now,
thats almost one million new cases a day at the moment...!

India's stats on these graphs are jaw dropping: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/india/
