Ruby, elsewhere in the rules it says "You can't use the same artist/group in successive posts.".

A little while ago, in response to a post of Mike + the Mechanics, you posted an album by Mike Rutherford - same artist. That is clearly against the rules.

I noticed that, but I let it go rather than calling it out. You know why? Because I thought it was more important to have fun than to stick rigidly by the rules. Guess I was wrong.

I'm done with this game. Enjoy yourselves playing it.

This red herring has absolutely nothing to do with Mike & The Mechanics and Mike Rutherford which it can be argued, although the same person is involved, are two different recording entities with two different artist names.

Why not just agree that just as you don't want your rules summarily changed, neither would anyone else? That was my point.

Stop making a mountain out of a molehill. It's only a silly game the real purpose of which is to introduce people to artists/acts they might not have heard of. End of.

The trick is not to stump everybody but to keep it going.
So when you post an answer, try to think of what a correct follow up post would be. If you can't think of one, try to come up with something else.
Then if no poster can come up with a response in let's say 1 day (24 hours) you should post a hint of the album you came up with and more if needed.

I see no need to change anything
but maybe to emphasize dropping a hint or few on the response you would have given
at least do that before you post the answer
after another 24 hours with no answer then go ahead and play with yourself

two separate artists in the music books and statistics...

what it means is, you cant follow a Mike & The Mechanics album with another one because its the same band,
