A couple of music documentaries last night:
All Tomorrow's Parties. A film documenting the first ten years of an annual left-field UK music festival, which is held out-of-season in holiday camps. Good footage of the likes of Portishead, Slint, Grinderman, Belle & Sebastian, Sonic Youth, Animal Collective, Battles, John Cooper Clarke, The Gossip, The Octopus Project (an act that I need to investigate further), and others.
Brian Eno: Hits, Classics & Tracks. An hour from Paul Morley on the "Renaissance Fiasco" that is Brian Eno. That's Morley's description of Eno, not mine. Lots of footage of some of Eno's finest work and collaborations, from Roxy Music to Coldplay.
