Progressive Conservative?
now that's a twist
hey, wait, maybe that's what I am

Politics - Music Head - 07-05-2015

don't you hate it when your post starts a new page
then you remember you didn't put those little ^^ signs
of course I could edit
but then it might come up with that blank form crap
then I have to try and figure out why it does that
so many problems
I gotta go wake up the birds for breakfast

Politics - SteveO - 07-05-2015

Lol,,,yes I snicker at the party name Progressive Conservative...a blatant misnomer of the word Progressive...stale and old boys club party would be a more appropriate title. At least the national party dropped the Progressive tag...just called Conservatives now.

UK national election today...too close to call they say. Same old Conservatives and Labour battling it out...Scottish National Party expected to take Scotland obviously! The Liberal Grits have gone astray for the time being.

Quite the past week for the Brits...election and the birth of Charlotte Elizabeth Diana!:biggrin1:

Well, well, well - the general election in Britain sees three party leaders wiped out - two parties crushed, and most surprisingly, an almost complete whitewash in Scotland. My prediction - Scotland will go for independence in 5 five years and the UK will leave the EU. Watch this space......

Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 08-05-2015

yes...
how the pollsters got it so wrong...they predicted a 'hung parliament' didnt they

Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 08-05-2015

just a question for you Jerome....

are you eligible to vote in UK elections???

Politics - Lindsay - 12-05-2015

Yes, Crazy horse - should not the pollsters have been more aware of all the "Shy" conservative vote? On the other hand, they are only pollsters. Maybe we should stick in this Forum to discussing music?

On which theme: most marvellous CD: Bruckner Motets, done by St Mary's Cathedral Edinburgh, DCD34071. To die for, especially when you hear Virga Jesse, or Os Justi...

And locus iste is pretty good too...

it doesnt help Labour's chances when the likes of staunch Labour supporters like Billy Bragg and Paul Weller make comments like:

"im not voting in this election because they cant be trusted"

people listen to those guys, especially the ones who grew up listening to their music and supporting their political causes in the Thatcherite era.

that doesnt make the people stupid...
theyre looking for direction and answers from someone, and they obviously dont believe or trust their local Members, the likes of Weller/Bragg
simply confirm their own thoughts.
