Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - CRAZY-HORSE - 29-09-2016 I would post Linda but my laptop is not working properly at the moment, can only access WWW via my phone and I wont post lengthy posts while viewing a small screen because it hurts my eyes but be rest assured I will return to posting my ghost stories as soon as its sorted out. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Oceansoul - 29-09-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:I sure would love to hear someone else's stories! I'm sorry to hear that about your friend :frown: Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Lovely Linda - 30-09-2016 Thank you Oceansoul!! To this day after that happening I sleep with a light on. I have never had that experience again as I recall of thinking I would never see someone again in that situation. It was so weird. I guess I could call it a premonition. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-10-2016 that last story of yours Linda is oh so familiar.. its one of those: "i only i'd have said..." "i should not have left..." "i should have made the time to...." stories... I had a similar one many years ago... I used to play cricket when I was younger, didn't need glasses and carried a few less pounds of weight on me, anyway, there was this umpire who had links to a particular team in the competition and it was well known that if he umpired in games where that team was playing that bad decisions would always go against the opposition, not mistakes but blatant cheating on his part... this happened year in, year out, I used to hate playing against that team in case he jot the job of umpiring... anyway, one year whilst batting against them I was well on my way to scoring a 100 runs, I was in the 90s from memory, he gave me out when I was clearly not out, and as I walked off I gave him a mouthful of abuse and that was that.... never saw him again for years and years and finally crossed paths in a supermarket, he walked over to me and said "hi" and put his hand out to for me to shake it... I refused and said something like "you've got to be joking mate, after all the cheating you did, you expect me to be cool with that, I hope you rot in hell you bastard" and I walked off... I heard from someone less than a month later that he had just died, his body was riddled with cancer apparently... so after saying "i hope you rot in hell" and not know he was dying was one of those put my foot in it moments... I thought, maybe he knew he had not long to go and offered his hand as a jesture of forgiveness for his cheating and I said what I did to him... I wish I could have gone back and maybe shook his hand and not forgave him but said something less final to him. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Oceansoul - 01-10-2016 My Aunt passed away last year on Oct. 1, it's hard to believe a year has already gone by. After she died, all of my family got together in my hometown at my Aunt's house, I was in the bathroom brushing my hair one night and I saw my Aunt's stuff where she usually had it, I picked up one of her brushes and it felt like she was still there in some way. Like she was there with me, and speaking like she usually would. Hard to explain what I'm trying to say, tbh. It felt like "her" stuff to me, "her" house, "her" fingerprints and footprints, if that makes any sense. I'm not gone, I'm still here. My cousin is in the marching band in his high school and he told us he was on the field during the football game a couple of days after she died and he saw her watching and smiling then he started crying. My Mom also says she still feels a connection to her trying to tell her to keep an eye on my Granny and my cousin. She has dreams with my Aunt in them. Most people close to my Aunt have said they still feel a connection of sorts to her. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Lovely Linda - 02-10-2016 Sorry CH! It is disturbing when we miss opportunities to set things right with people we have encountered. We can't go back so unless the departed find a way to contact us we just have to deal with the unfortunate experience. I know it is tough to deal with sometimes. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Lovely Linda - 02-10-2016 Sorry about your Aunt Oceansoul! I think sometimes a person's spirit is so strong they do leave their essence on things they loved and used quite often. So I know where you are coming from. For some reason I feel my dad is trying to contact me because I look out my back door and I can almost see he and my mom coming up the steps. My mom is still alive but she is in bad shape. I feel she will be joining him soon. I think my dad might know how hard of a time I am having with my hubby who told me just last night he would be dead by Jan. 2017. I have been married to my hubby a very long time. I believe I will have other stories if he does pass shortly. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - Lovely Linda - 02-10-2016 Just wondering, do either of you feel someone is standing behind you sometimes or coming towards you? Tonight for instance while on the PC here I felt someone was coming from behind me. I turned around to look and for a few seconds I did feel someone was there. Even though I really did not see anyone, I still felt someone was there. Do either of you have a experience with EVP? It is a interesting subject to me too. I saw the movie White Noise. That is when EVP was brought to my attention. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-10-2016 what is EVP, I mean ive probably heard of it but I cannot recall it Linda? Ghost Stories and Haunted Places - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-10-2016 another weird experience: when I first moved into Dani's place I came in from work early and let her Labrador in the house... I was sitting down to check my emails etc and out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was a shadow... the blinds were down so it wasn't coming from outside so I figured I was imagining it, being in a new place and all... anyway i got this weird feeling and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck, something which happens rarely with me, unless something is amiss... Dani's Labrador was sitting next to me but looking down the passageway, his look was fixed so i got up and looked down the hallway, there was a man standing there, probably around 6'2"-6'4", like he was really tall... he was wearing a trenchcoat and had his hands in the pockets of it... was also wearing a wide brimmed hat that was pulled down over his eyes... strange thing was, even though it was a solid shape there were no real features in his face, so i moved down the hallway but as i took my third or fourth step he disappeared... so i figured it was my imagination playing tricks on me, but in the back of my mind im thinking the dog was fixated on him so he must of seen it also... whatever, i forgot about it... the next time i came home early was a couple of days later but it was a nice day so i didn't let the dog in, i figured he can stay outside, after a few minutes he walked up to the glass sliding door and started barking, i figured he wanted to come in but i ignored him, again, he started barking and pawing at the door so i relented and let him in... he went straight to the end of the passageway and stood there fixated at something... i got up, and again, this imposing figure of a large (tall) man in tenchcoat and hat with brim pulled down low was just standing there.. i just stood and watched him and he evaporated into thin air... when Dani came in i mentioned it to her what i'd seen and the reaction of the dog... her response..."don't worry about him, he's been following me from house to house for years", she believes it may have been her Grandfather keeping an eye on her and he only appeared to me to 'check me out' because i was new on the scene... i guess he was satisfied because when we next moved he didn't follow her/us, Dani believes he may have thought its all okay and he could now move on to wherever it is he was destined to go. |
