its simple, it has humour and its full of exagarated feats of strength and action but it is fun.

finally got round to watching this.
was expecting great things after Ruby and MH mentioned that the book was excellent.
ive not read the novel but i thought the movie was really good, in fact, the best movie i have seen in a long while.

stars Jennifer Hudson as Aretha, Forrest Whitaker as her Preacherman father, Marlon Wayans as her abusive husband/manager and Mary J Blige as Dinah Washington.
movie focuses on her life from a young child through to her groundbreaking 1972 live Gospel album.
excellent with a capitol E

apocalyptic psychological thriller from the (twisted) mind of M Night Shyalaman

quite good for Shyalaman as some of his projects fall flat towards the end after promising so much, this one didnt fall flat at all.
movie is about the end of days and The Four Horsemen...

a series about a fictional band trying to 'make it' in LA in the early 1970s...
only three episodes in at the moment but fairly decent so far...
stars Riley Keough (Elvis Presley's eldest grand-daughter) and she puts in a solid acting performance throughout.
