the Wiki:  Ozark (TV series) - Wikipedia

brilliant series about a financial advisor getting unwittingly mixed up with a mexican cartel by laundering money for them..
a cat and mouse game of survival, deception and back room deals...

well worth a watch if you havent seen it.

season four is in two installments with seven 1x hour eposides in each installment.
first seven watched, awaiting the final seven episodes at some point this year...

great, great stuff IMO.

^^
I second that emotion

RE: Currently Watching? - Ruby - 02-02-2022

^^I started it and then stopped for some reason - can't remember now exactly what that was. Lol!

Watched this on Netflix last night ...

Jakob Dylan is the narrator, or facilitator, whichever you choose. Very serious fella that. It's about the heady days of Laurel Canyon, the confluence of talent at the time, and I'd been listening to CSN&Y so it followed nicely. JD and his cohorts on the right in the pic above recreate some of the songs and there are interviews with those on the left - some quite fascinating clips too. Gee - Michelle Phillips is something else! I'm going to sound like a real prude but she's shameless - wow.

Great for anyone who's interested in or familiar with these artists. Quite surprised that they remember as much as they seem to!

^^
looking forward to watching this when it arrives at Netflix-Australia.

for the umpteenth time....
there are literally a handful of movies i can watch over and over again and not get sick of them and this is one of those...
and IMO its an absolute masterpiece.
(the others?...shawshank redemption, jaws, the great escape)

RE: Currently Watching? - JeromeD - 22-02-2022

I agree with all of your choices. Have not seen The Great Escape??!!?? Another one I never tire of is Frankie and Johnny - the Al Pacino one. Scent of a Woman & The English Patient are not far behind. The Deer Hunter too! So many movies, so little time...

RE: Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 07-03-2022

re-runs of Star Trek 'the original series' as there is nothing that jumps out at me on Netflix currently

on Amazon Prime:

thriller from the mind of M. Knight Shyamalan...
lots of mixed reviews when it was released so i waited until it came on my subscription service...

a group of people on holiday discover a sheltered beach where they start growing older by the hour.
unable to leave the beach due to supernatural powers and unexpected accidents they are all destined to age there at an astonishing rate and die.
huge twist at the end that i didnt see coming.

a bit slow in places but worth watching.
