a 'disaster-thriller', not so much thriller but certainly a disaster IMO...
so...
pieces of a comet are Earthbound,
theres room for only so many people in Govt bunkers...stuff the rest of humanity, only the 'elite' can survive...
and thats about it...

the clips are of what are termed "Sovereign Citizens" "1st ammendment-ists"...
these guys think they can do whatever the hell they want to the point of ignoring Police directions citing laws that dont even exist,

on Netflix.
a nine part series.
from Korea.
voices have been dubbed but at least they used Asian-Americans.
didnt notice the voice dubs after the first episode.
similar to Hunger Games where contestants have to survive challenges to become the ultimate victor.
very, very good series IMO.

three episodes into this 2020 adaptation of the Stpehen King novel.
read the novel back in the early 1980s, saw the original mini-series back in '94 when released but if im going to be perfectly honest i cannot recall too many details from either so this feels brand new to me...
seems very poignant at the moment considering it is about a flu-like virus that wipes out 90% of the population...
i have no negatives to report at this stage.

2020 mini-series based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.

series complete now:
nine episodes, almost 50minutes an episode (you do the math!)...
very good series IMO
but i cannot draw comparisons to the original series because i cant really member it, only remembering that i did like it.
well worth watching if youre into this sort of thing.

I'm half asleep sometimes. Had a meeting with a client yesterday who was accompanied by someone who wasn't introduced but whose voice I recognised immediately, from somewhere. The weather was wild, and we were out on the urban fringe, so there were woolly hats and so on which didn't help much. It was so puzzling - couldn't work it out. Finally twigged at some ungodly hour of the morning that it was the octopus man himself and that my client was the fimmaker, to which I had also been completely oblivious. Lol! Got the feeling they preferred anonymity anyway - fortunately.

CORONAVIRUS,EXPLAINED
on Netflix
a three episode series (each around 25 minutes) answering and explaining the virus in simple terms.
episode 1: explains what a vaccine is,what it does and how it is produced
episode 2: explains the effects upon the mind and body from lockdons and isolation for extended periods
episode 3: explains what viruses are, how they spread between people andspecies jumping, along with how they evolve.
a very good imformative narrative about viruses and pandemics, in this case Covid-19.
probably good to watch with your teens so all their questions can be answered simply and easily.
