about an eight year old boy who was tortured and abused by his mom and step father in LA over a six month period and his ultimate death.
now,
i have a cast-iron stomach for anything horrific whether fiction or non fiction
i can watch it all, no problems.
Christ, i have even been in the room when an autopsy has been performed,
i watched my wife undergo a C-Section, literally, head over the curtain watching and asking questions LOL..
but i switched this off after about fifteen minutes,
the horrific details of the injuries on the child relayed from a Nurse who was in the operating theater helping to save his life.
the description, her emotion and tears just turned my stomach.
i would love to finish the doco but i cant.

Just read a summary of the movie on Wiki - this poor kid was put through hell. The social workers were informed about him but put him on the back burner. After his death they tried to falsify documents to make it appear that they did not know the extent of the problem.
Child abuse is far more common than people realise. Seems to me the more 'advanced' our species becomes the less empathy and concern there is for others. We are becoming a very insular species and a lot of this is down to technology turning us into unfeeling and uncaring beings. A detached, mindless mob only concerned with self-advancement and to hell with everyone and everything else. (YouTube 'influencers' come to mind). There's going to be a heavy price to pay for all this. The chicken always comes home to roost in the end. Sure as eggs are eggs.
One thing that struck me about the Capitol building fiasco is that obviously social media is playing a big part in organizing all these type of events, but it's almost as if people think if they can get a crowd together and do whatever they want then the rules and laws do not apply to them. The very fabric of society is coming apart at the seams and the people appointed to uphold law and order are now made out to be the villains. It's nuts.
We've already had trial by television - next - trial by YouTube. Imagine a world where your fate can be decided on popularity instead of proof. It's coming to a theatre near you soon...
