Hendrix: the final 24hrs.

a doco produced and directed by Michael Parkinson.
not entirely as the title suggests as it shows his rise from obscurity through to his death.
there was no heroin found in his system because he didnt do coke or heroin, he was a pot/LSD dude.
not released at the time was part of the autopsy report that stated he had red wine in his lungs, that can only mean
he drowned and bruising around his body was consistent with being held down and liquid (in this case the wine) being 
force poured down his throat.
main suspect was his manager who was a CIA operative in a previous career whom Hendrix was going to fire later that month
when his contract was up and whom Hendrix was suing for misappropriation of earnings.
to add to that, the Black Panthers were infiltrating his inner circle becuse they wanted the support of 'the hendrix name.
and as the doco suggests, Hendrix was a fairly simple, weak minded man who would have been easily influenced by them and
easily open to manipulation from not only them but his deceitful manager also.
the verdict on his death certificate has remained 'open' to this date.

a 2008 documentary on ,obviously, law and order in Jo-burg made by UK doco maker Louis Theroux.

documentary about the crime and private security situation in Johannesburg, South Africa. Theroux travels with heavily armed private security contractors who fill a security vacuum left by the government's inability to provide adequate security via normal means, such as policing. Theroux also meets with local people at the Black township level, who practice vigilantism against suspected criminals.[1][2][3]


just happened to be on when i turned on the TV and continued to watch it.

excellent doco, in fact anything made by Theroux is brilliant IMO.

not many sequels are worth watching, this one is as is 'part III' from memory.

huge fan of Christina as a singer
huge fan of Cher as an actress (oops sorry, actor)...
yet i had never seen it.

a very, very good movie.
lots of good songs, choreography and acting.

THE ELVIS COVERUP-1979.

the investigation by 20/20 in 1979 into the death of Elvis Presley and the coverup by Memphis Police/Medical Examiner into the amount of precription medications he was taking and the falsifying of hid death certificate.

the dude was downing 25 barbituates a day by a doctor who issued him 5000 of them in the last seven months of his life.

The town is buzzing with talk about this documentary. It's shot right here, just down the road from me - most of it anyway. This coastline is home to many sought after dive spots - there's a huge diversity of species due to converging currents, for one. Such an enchanting little movie - so interesting ... have a watch ...
