my "singles" collection - SteveO - 29-10-2013 I do not know why I thought they only had the one album Crazy mate! Yes "Get Born" was a cracker...never heard the other two! CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Jet released three albums mate... my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-10-2013 ROD STEWART "forever young" b/w "days of rage" 1988 yep, another Rodney Stewart single in my collection... "a" side is a typical Stewart ballad-cum-rock ballad from that period, its not bad,but certainly not 'classic' Stewart IMO "b" side starts off okay, it has a real cool rock sound to it,but the song ends up going nowhere fast! single failed by his standards, it only peaked at #94 here "forever young" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGEe_zpddNI video "days of rage" * no link available my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-10-2013 RED BOX "lean on me" b/w "stinging bee" 1985 "a" side has a latter day Tears For Fears and Men Without Hats sound to me... i like this "a" side... "b" side is a piece of 1980s pop-pap! single reached #29 here...should have been a huge hit IMO, for some reason though, it wasnt! "lean on me" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTyFUbgSvL8 video "stinging bee" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD48tZEOeW8 audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-10-2013 YOUNG RASCALS "a beautiful morning" b/w "ive been lonely too long" 1968 im a huge fan of Rascals/Young Rascals...love their white boy 1960s soul sounds.... unfortunately though, neither side of this single do anything for me now, theyre bland, monotonous pieces of drivel! single did chart here making it to #36 back in the day "a beautiful morning" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBEoBN-IH_8 audio "ive been lonely too long" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HXVtmPUawE audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 30-10-2013 CLIFF RICHARD "daddy's home" b/w "shakin' all over(live)" 1981 Cliff was almost twenty-five years into his career when this one came out... both tracks are covers, "a" side a cover of an old Doo-Wop song...i love Cliff's version "b" side is an old cover recorded live around 1980ish...i like his version also... "daddy's home" would be up there in my list of favourite CR songs ever single peaked at #8 here "daddy's home" *** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJJuYpx0w2Q video "shakin all over" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FV0UpEnPYE audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-11-2013 JULIAN LENNON "too late for goodbyes" b/w "well i dont know" 1984 debut single from John's eldest son... there are certainly vocal similarities between the two, but thats understandable... i like both sides of this single, "a" side is definately the better of the two though... lovely melodies, lyrics, tune and vocals... single only made it to #13 here, which is bad by his standards considering he did have six #1's here over the years "too late for goodbyes" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vh4Cni_wp-Y video "well i dont know" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLwTihQzHMI audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-11-2013 PRETENDERS "brass in pocket" b/w "swingin' london" & "nervous but shy" 1979 Chrissie Hynde and Co's third single, but fist hit single... these guys couldnt make it in the US, so they relocated to the UK and made it big! "a" side is really sultry stuff,Hynde oozes sex appeal here....this is a classic song from the ashes of Punk... "b" side tracks are instrumentals, the first one is okay, but i dont care for the second one... single peaked at #2 here "brass in pocket" *** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7Hy7uAb_eU video "swingin' london" ** "nervous but shy" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUVFQhI6osY audio/above two tracks my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-11-2013 ELVIS PRESLEY "solitaire" b/w "are you sincere?" 1979 another post-death single release from The King in 1979... both tracks were recorded in the mid 1970s...
