the plot continues from the first movie.
overkill with the gun violence but Rambo would be proud.
continuing storyline.
prefer this to the first movie now the characters and plot have been developed.

I notice that Netflix has the third instalment available now
so I guess im up for that one next....
(I guess he survives the third one because a fourth is set for production shortly)

[Image: 220px-John_Wick_Chapter_3_Parabellum.png]

plot continues...
well that was abysmal.
I couldn't wait for that one to end.
more bloodshed over these three movies than the entire Rambo series!
storyline was very thin, relying on the action, choreographed fight scenes etc.

a Yuletide sequel:

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg return to their roles.
Mel Gibson and John Lithgow enter the movie as their fathers.
a funny movie but not quite as good as the original.
almost like a second rate Focker movie (ie: Meet The Parents)

Hey Crazy Man - can't remember if I posted this one before - suspect I might have but if not watch The Foreigner on Netflix. (if you have Netflix that is). Great movie. MH will like it as well.

RE: Currently Watching? - Jerome - 11-03-2020

Just finished watching Apollo 11 - the new documentary on Netflix - fascinating stuff.

RE: Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 11-03-2020

upon recommendation from Jerome:

Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan :

thriller/action

retired Special Op's Operative (Chan) loses his daughter in a terrorist bomb attack in London.
attack has all the hallmarks of IRA.
Brosnan is ex-IRA, now British Minister in Ireland...
Chan seeks vengeance outside the law.

oh what a tangled web some weave....

like Jerome said...MH will like this. Ruby, do you like a good thriller or are you into other things?

The Age of Consequences - a documentary about the effect climate change is having on the world. If you think the Covid-19 virus thing is bad you ain't seen nothing yet! Which reminds me. What the hell are they going to do when the virus hits all those migrant camps all over Southern Europe? A disaster waiting to happen.

And on another pleasant note, the 'government' here has put the whole place in lockdown. As a result, people are now going ape-shit in the supermarkets buying up everything they can, fighting over toilet paper (still can't figure out why they think that's the most important thing to buy - plain stupid), attacking each other over trolleys, verbally abusing staff for not having enough stock on the shelves - as if it's their fault.

People's true natures are starting to emerge. All it takes is a little fear...

The human race is truly twisted.

There are many conspiracy theories and false news stories about the Covid-19 outbreak but in reality it's just Mother Nature rebalancing the scales once more. Too many people on the planet who are buying up too much junk, creating too much waste and not looking after the place. Aunty Eden wants payback for all the crap it has had to endure at the hands of Man.

Finally, it's interesting to note how much the pollution levels in China have dropped since the economy has slowed down. NASA posted a couple of pictures recently. The change in air quality is quite remarkable. There's a lesson for us all there. And of course there is going to be a huge economic impact to many, many industries. Flybe gone to the wall, SAA laying off 4700 people, Italian Tourism industry in tatters, bus companies folding left, right and centre, Cruise ship companies on the slippery slope - and this is just the start of it.

And of course the insurance companies will raise their premiums.

And once it's all over will the human race have learnt anything? - of course not. We never do.

And a most appropriate set of lyrics by Mr. Waters

we watched a tragedy unfold
we did as we were told
we bought and sold
it was the greatest show on earth
but then it was over
we ohhed and awed
we drove our racing cars
we ate our last few jars of caviar
and somewhere out there in the stars
a keen eyed look out
spied a flickering light
our last hurrah
our last hurrah
and when they found our shadows
grouped round the tv sets
they ran down every lead
they repeated every test
they checked out all the data on their list
and then the alien anthropologist
admitted they were still perplexed
but on eliminating every other reason
for our sad demise
they logged the only explanation left
this species has amused itself to death
