Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 31-03-2015 Hillary, really???? Is she that "popular" amongst voters???? Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 31-03-2015 Lets face it....politics is a popularity game everywhere Politics - Jerome - 31-03-2015 Music Head Wrote:Hillary Clinton I think I read somewhere that she has over a billion dollars in her war chest for the campaign - don't know if it's true or not. Probably is. OK so we have 1 vote for HC so far..... Politics - Lovely Linda - 31-03-2015 jazzboCR Wrote:This kind of casual slander is disturbing. Do you have facts/statistics to back up this assertion? If not try to get some from your pastor/city councilman because it is a legit question. Otherwise your kvetching is easily dismissed as anecdotal pseudo-evidence. I hope this was an easy enough, not-personal-enough, request to make.Did I say one word about that. NO!!!!! Just so you know. I do have facts. I have lived here over 50 years. I know what has been going on. The only place they have been building homes for HFH is in Town for black people. Strange how you know what is going on in my hometown. I have lived here most of my life. I know from our local news that that is where the homes are being built. The homes have also been built by whites who volunteer their time. Some of the black people here won't even live close to those areas. They live in basically white neighborhoods. They live in mine which is fine with me!! The only trouble I have basically had has been with white people such as yourself who has to go on line and search for links they agree with to try and force their point across. I know the facts from living here!! I don't have to search for links. Btw, where do you live? I know it can't be here unless you are walking around with your eyes closed and don't watch the local news. I repeat I have Nothing against black people!! Their shows are about the only ones I watch on TV because the white shows to me are not worth watching. My only point and I repeat is help everyone not just the poor black people which some just won't work. I'm not saying we don't have white people that won't work. I have people in my own family sorry to say that are on welfare and drugs so don't you dare accuse me of being prejudice. I'm far from that!! Color makes no difference to me but we have folks who live here such as the elderly who really need help such as my Mom but can not get help. They can barely survive. I have a white couple who live right across the street from me who have five kids and are on welfare. So next time you accuse me of being prejudice jazz, get your facts straight!! Might be best to stay off the links and watch the local news which by the way alot of them are liberals. I love all people as long as they treat me with respect and try to help themselves and don't depend on the government for a handout!! You got that!! Politics - jazzboCR - 31-03-2015 Jerome Wrote:Could I ask all you Yankee-Doodle-Dandies (sp??) i.e. American forum members, who you think will win the next election? Not who you would like to win - who you think will actually win. Any takers? As a dyed-in-the-wool YDD, I'll say it's way too soon for this question to be answered. Even on the Democratic side, HC is not a dead-bang certainty and the Republican side is wide open without even a clear front-runner. Get back to us this time next year... You knew I was gonna do this, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzRhFH5OyHo << Some of the comments are interesting, some are exasperating. Politics - jazzboCR - 31-03-2015 Lovely Linda Wrote:Did I say one word about that. NO!!!!! Just so you know. Wow. WOW. If only a small measure of the psychic energy used in banging this Post out had been spent in Posting on music, we'd all be much better off. I live in South West Florida. I have no idea where you live (or care), and was only asking questions another might pose as to what's happening and why. Was your mentioning my "...staying off the links..." a golf reference? 'Cuz I don't play; actually I don't do or follow any kind of sports or athletics. Politics - Lovely Linda - 01-04-2015 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Hillary, really???? I sure hope she would not be that popular but unfortunately she is. We have had enough of the Clintons in my opinion! Politics - jazzboCR - 01-04-2015 Lovely Linda Wrote:I sure hope she would not be that popular but unfortunately she is. We have had enough of the Clintons in my opinion! Agreed. And doubly so for the Bushes (Prez. Bush41 was OK * but Prez. Bush43 was a horror story we are still paying for and will continue to pay for far into the future, both physically and psychically). * Could have done without that first Iraqi invasion, Iraq having a good historic claim to what is now Kuwait--our attack was all about controlling the oil and nothing else. Politics - jazzboCR - 02-04-2015 Paul Krugman has won the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, so what he writes (even opinion pieces) are solidly fact/statistics based and should have attention paid. In this he discusses 3 allied issues--O.D.S, Reaganolatry, and the confidence con. He writes in a conversational not academic style here: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/27/opinion/paul-krugman-mornings-in-blue-america.html You can argue with the opinion; you can't argue with the facts (and, no, he doesn't do selective fact-picking--we leave that to the other side.). Washington is just wasting their time!! |
