What Did You Buy? - Lachesis - 20-08-2011 I'm just back from the music store with two CDs: The Clash - London Calling and The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground. Unmissable albums I didn't own before. What Did You Buy? - Tiggi - 20-08-2011 ^ Two very good choices Emma... What Did You Buy? - gater - 20-08-2011 Elvin Bishop's first Capricorn album "Let It Flow". Elvin is a very underrated player, and while I do not think this disc is quite as strong as "Juke Joint Jump" from a year later, with Dickie Betts and Charlie Daniels on the album, it aint bad at all!! What Did You Buy? - evilB - 20-08-2011 Fun additions: Sensory Lullabies - Tribute to Jellyfish (nicely done 2CD set of covers of the two Jellyfish albums and more) Passenger - Passenger (In Flames related band) Blind Guardian re-issues - Follow the Blind / Tales From the Twilight Hall / The Forgotten Tales / Nightfall in Middle Earth Shadows Fall - The War Within (w/ DVD special edition) What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 31-08-2011 ive resisted going to see my mate Corey since ive got back to Perth....but as usual the "addiction" of music got the better of me today and i bought eight cd's. 1. Gotye "making mirrors" (quick review in the pop section as a new releases) 2. Hank III "lovesick broke and driftin" (the debut set from the grandson of Mr.Williams and son of Hank Jnr....heard this one at MH son-in-laws and fell in love with it) 3. Various Artists "rave on" (not very often i buy a various artists album but a tribute to Mr.Holly with tracks from Florence,My morning Jacket,Cee Lo, Lou Reed etc seems intruiging to me) 4. Dave Stewart "the blackbird diaries" (Dave's new one recommended by Corey) 5. The Panics "rain on the humming wire" (again, new one recommended by Corey) 6. Icehouse "white heat" (30 track best of set from one of the better Aussie bands from the 80s) 7. The White Stripes "elephant" (have finally completed my WS collection with this one) 8. John Fogerty "revival" (album from around four years ago, have three JF solo albums and not dissapointed so i thought i'd get this one also) also, ive pre-ordered the new Paul Weller 12" single "starlite" to keep my Weller collection uptodate and complete What Did You Buy? - TraceNspace - 31-08-2011 ^^^ I downloaded Gotye yesterday thanks to you Lloyd I can't get that song out of my head but in a good way.
What Did You Buy? - gater - 01-09-2011 The James Taylor catalog from "Sweet Baby James" through "Copperline". Even the iffy discs like Flag. What Did You Buy? - marry89 - 02-09-2011 Usher - Raymond VS. Raymond. Almost have every album of him My friends don't have any Cd's anymore. But I like to have them
What Did You Buy? - SteveO - 02-09-2011 Hey J, You've got me curious about the Eno/Holland collaboration....I'll have to check it out ! Jerome Wrote:Synth Gods (a book - very good)Everything by Fleet Foxes - can't stop listening to it.Eno & Holland - Drums Between The Bells - very very unique collaboration. What Did You Buy? - SteveO - 02-09-2011 Gater, Years ago I owned a double live album by Elvin !!! It was so good that my co workers wanted me to bring it in or hear it often ! |
