Currently Watching? - Amanda - 05-06-2016 I'm currently watching Independence Day: Resurgence. The movie is very cool. Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 04-07-2016 ![]() DEATH IN PARADISE: series I thru V. joint UK/French series based in the Caribbean... very comedic throughout as we follow the exploits of two UK DI's as they solve a series of murders.... lighthearted, rarely serious with no foul language, sex or gore... good family entertainment IMO... 4/5 Currently Watching? - SteveO - 04-07-2016 Watching Will Smith's Independence Day movie for the bazillioneth time! Looking forward to the new one! Currently Watching? - SteveO - 04-07-2016 Can't wait to see it! Amanda Wrote:I'm currently watching Independence Day: Resurgence. The movie is very cool. Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-07-2016 ![]() THE FOLLOWING (3 season series) season I: When notorious serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) escapes from death row and embarks on a new killing spree, the FBI calls former agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), who captured Carroll nine years earlier, after Carroll murdered 14 female students on a college campus where he taught literature. Knowing Carroll better than anyone and close with Carroll's ex-wife, Hardy works closely with an FBI team and soon discovers that Carroll was not only communicating with a network of killers in the outside world, but has much more planned than just a prison escape â and there's no telling how many additional killers are out there. As Hardy and the FBI team are challenged by the ever-growing web of murder around them, masterminded by the diabolical Carroll, Hardy will not only get a second chance to capture Carroll, but another shot at redemption, as he faces not one but an entire cult of serial killers. season II: As unimaginable events surrounding escaped serial killer Joe Carroll's cult of murder continued to unfold throughout the first season â the kidnapping of Carroll's son by follower Emma; another prison escape by Carroll; and the plotted reunion of Carroll with his ex-wife, Claire â former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and his team uncovered the depth of Carroll's cult and the larger plan that Carroll had in store. Meanwhile, Hardy desperately raced to stop Carroll before his endgame reached its deadly conclusion. The explosive first season finale featured the face-off between Ryan and Carroll, ending in Carroll's ultimate demise and leaving Claire hanging on for her life. Heading into its intense, spellbinding second season, THE FOLLOWING catches up with Hardy, who has since withdrawn from consulting with the FBI. After several bizarre incidents, however, Ryan realizes that Carroll's bloody web of murder is not over. season III: with Carroll back behind bar awaiting execution Ryan Hardy is still on the hunt for the remaining members of Carroll's murderous cult. all action and no filler in this series at all even though Joe Carroll is not the focal point... my thoughts on the series: a very good thriller that moves onward and upward from the initial pilot episode... some edge of the seat moments and like some other series I found myself rooting for Serial Killer Joe Carroll until the end... there are a lot of murder scenes throughout the series so if youre squeamish you probably wouldn't like it... all up, a realistic tv series that at times evokes similarities to Manson's 'family'... PS, MH...if you haven't seen it yet, do so if you get the chance, Debbie will love it mate. and Raylan's wife from Justified plays Joe Carroll's ex-wife. speaking of Justified...both Carroll and Hardy's character's have that same love/hate relationship that Boyd and Raylan had I still prefer Justified but this one is pretty darn good also. Currently Watching? - Music Head - 23-07-2016 we saw it very good series Currently Watching? - Miriam Jordan - 26-07-2016 Orange is the New Black. Netflix has been my companion for the last few weeks. Loving it so far. Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-08-2016 ![]() CELL movie starring John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson... based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.... story revolves around a virus that spreads though cell phones and infects the users to become almost zombie-like... this was a scary thing back around the time it was originally written as cell/mobiles were just emerging in the market place... was a highly original concept but like most of King's adaptions, it loses the suspense and thrill of the novel... also, too many things were omitted rom the book and replaced with different ideas in the movie... its also actually the second occasion Cusack and Jackson have appeared together in a King adaptation, the first was "1408", the story of a writer(cusack) out to debunk the supernatural, he is invited to stay in room #1408 of a hotel run by Jackson... that was a terrible movie also. rating for this one 1/5 Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-08-2016 I guess im a sucker or Stephen King based movies because im always wanting that next great one to come out ie: Shawshank Redemption, Misery, Delores Clairborne Green Mile, Running Man, The Shining (remake not the original version), The Mist. but it rarely happens... out of some fifty movies/tv series based on his books theres probably only the ones ive mentioned above that are really good, a dozen others that are passable and the rest, well, theyre better let unspoken about! Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-08-2016 ![]() JOY 2015 movie starring Jennifer Lawrence, Dianne Ladd and Robert De Niro... based on the true story of a woman who invented a new cleaning mop... her struggles to get it patented, getting ripped off by the patent people... and her eventual rise to stardom on TVSN.... sounds boring I know, and for the most part it doesn't go anywhere fast... only picked it up to watch as im a an of De Niro, who isn't in it all that much anyway... not a bad movie, made better because it is a supposed 'based on true events' flick... overall rating: 2.5/5 |
