Agree with you 100% MH. TV coverage of sport is far better than actually being at the stadium. And a hell of a lot cheaper as well! And you can choose the company you are with instead of standing next to some drunken lout screaming his/her head off all the time.

i gave up on live sporting match attendance a couple of decades ago because of the reasons Jerome mentioned...
also gave up on live concerts several years ago...

just watched Dont Look Up on Netflix...
an all-star cast, even the 'bit' actors are well known actors/actresses...
thought it was okay at the start,
didnt realise it was a comedy, was expecting something like a real 'disaster/movie'...
i thought it was a bit stupid in places...
not a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio on the whole but his acting was superb in this one.

August: Osage County - Brilliant performances by all members of the cast, but especially Steep and Roberts. Highly recommended. Family drama at it's finest.

Leaving Las Vegas - Cage's best work ever. Elisabeth Shue is brilliant as well.

Not a recommendation as such but some background on a movie being released called Benedetta. And being released on Good Friday no less! I signed a petition calling for the movie to be banned. I am no prude and certainly not a religious nut of any kind but this movie just goes against the grain for me. I could not care less whether women or even nuns use sex toys or have intimate relationships with each other but to depict a nun using a religious statuette/symbol as a sex toy just pisses me off. It's a step too far. How much lower do we have to sink in order to entertain the masses or turn a buck? Am I am not even Catholic! Or religious for that matter. But this is just completely unacceptable to me. It's just perverse.
