Just finished watching 'Katie' - a documentary on Netflix about Irish female boxer Katie Taylor. She is a deeply religious lady and a powerful force in the world of boxing - probably the best female fighter ever. I don't care much for boxing and religion is a complete mystery to me, but I watched this documentary to gain some insight into this phenomenal sporting talent. You always hear people in Ireland moaning about how they haven't won the Rugby World Cup or they haven't done well at the various soccer tournaments. Forget all that crap, you have the best female boxer in history - celebrate her achievements and forget about all those other creeps with no balls.

Watched a DVD of 'The Deer Hunter' last night - Streep and De Niro were absolutely awesome in this brilliantly crafted movie. And John Williams' music was beyond brilliant.

'Running with the Devil' - (Van Halen comes to mind) - not a brilliant movie by any means but I found it entertaining to some degree. It gives a great insight into the whole drug trade route from South America to the USA. They are never going to stop the drug trade. There are just too many people involved.

'Shock and Awe' - how one newspaper covering the American invasion of Iraq exposed the 2 trillion dollar exercise as nothing but a complete fraud. Number of weapons of mass destruction found? Zero! The Bush administration and their henchmen duped the whole planet. Insane.

Miss Sloane - a very clever plot and great twist at the end. All about political lobbying. Highly recommended.

Don't Look Up. On Netflix. Unusual but very entertaining movie about a comet that is going to hit earth. The real story here is about the stupidity of the human race and how we are more concerned with money, material possessions, celebrity, social media, TV chat shows, hype and the latest fashion trends than actually looking at the truth for what it is. Ariana Grande has a role in this movie and I wonder if she even realises that the role that she is playing makes her real-life career look exactly like the superficial fiasco that it is. Excellent acting in this movie.

'When the end of the world comes we will all be watching it on TV' - (or mobile phones).
