my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-08-2013 THE SPORTS "how come" b/w "drug sluts" 1981 these guys were a short lived Aussie group from late 1970s/early80s... although the "a" side is a bit repeatative, i still like it a lot, this single only got to #21 on the charts here. vocalist Stephen Cummings still performs as a solo artist, often supporting international artists like Elvis Costello when he tours here the "b" side is a total piece of crap... "b" side is also acoustic, credited to macca & Wings, so obviously an old preciously unreleased track pre1980..that one should have stayed unreleased, im a huge macca fan and i dont like it...youtube comments state this was recorded around 1972 the single, despite being so-called "classic" macca failed to chart here, as did most of his material after the mid 1980s "put it there" *** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xEvZZqeVoY video "mama's little girl" * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wpr2IEjVSg audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 05-08-2013 THE M*A*S*H "theme from mash(suicide is painless)" b/w "the mash march" 1970 not sure why i bought this one as i never "got into" the TV series at all... its not a bad song which reached #52 here back in the day...also like the "b" side, an instrumental reminiscent in parts to the 'great escape' theme "theme from mash" ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIIqYqtR1lY audio "the mash march" ** no link available my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 05-08-2013 ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS "olivers army" b/w "my funny valentine" 1979 this song absolutely 'blew my mind' when i first heard it...and ive been a huge fan of 'the other elvis' ever since! probably his best known song, signature tune if you will?...reached #2 on the UK charts, but only got to #24 here, the "b" side actually shows you just how eclectic the guys tastes were even back then by recording a cover of an old classic,i cant say i really liked this one initially as i wanted to hear 'new wave' elvis, but over time, well, this "b" side is brilliant stuff "olivers army" *** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow1S4DJtLOk video "my funny valentine" *** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni3DjM8wcds audio my "singles" collection - CRAZY-HORSE - 05-08-2013 FOUR SEASONS "december '63" b/w "slip away" 1975 after i bought my first single by Franky Valli i started to look back on his career, this one really got me hooked also, and i found it at a market somewhere i guess, still love this track and the "B" side isnt too shabby neither, song peaked at #2 here...
