I like all types of music except for boybands and country and western.
Some stuff I like a lot (metal, goth, classic rock (60s and 70s), rave, breakbeat, idm, psy trance, synthpop, ebm etc) other stuff I like a little (soul, rap, pop, indie rock, classical music) and other stuff I am only just beginning to explore (Jazz, Blues, World, Reggae). But yes, I might not like every artist (I'm quite picky about the quality) but I like most types of music.
Even the hated boybands and country and western contain exceptions. Take That are quite good now that they've matured and I like some of John Denver's songs.

I don't know quite. I don't really like the vocals and I find the sound a bit cheesy and tame.
Maybe I just don't get it because I'm not American.
Or maybe I just haven't heard enough of it and haven't heard the good stuff. I did quite like Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails 'Hurt' so maybe I should check him out.

I don't like fifties rock n roll much either. And I hate stuff like Aerosmith. I think I've always assumed it was the country element I don't like because I do like rock and blues

I'm over my dislike of Country these days, but for years had problems with the sentimentality of much Country music.
Must have mellowed over the years...
