I read the news today, oh boy! - Jerome - 20-10-2016

Another one I forgot about - Queen Hatshepsut's temple - one of the most stunning pieces of architecture I have ever seen. http://www.gettyimages.ie/detail/photo/hatshepsut-temple-deir-el-bahari-theban-high-res-stock-photography/558009895

And a fascinating place - The Valley of the Kings - http://www.gettyimages.ie/detail/photo/panorama-of-valley-of-the-kings-luxor-egypt-high-res-stock-photography/128918889

All the entrances you see are the start of the passages that lead to the burial chambers - they start digging the tunnels when the king is crowned and they stop when he dies. And every inch of the tunnels are decorated inside - a monumental amount of work.

And the workmanship on this statue is nothing short of brilliant - this is in Memphis, near the pyramids - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis,_Egypt#/media/File:Flickr_-_IDS.photos_-_Cairo_sculptures,_cleaning_time,_Egypt..jpg

Great pictures. The workmanship the Ancient Egyptians had was amazing. Queen Hatshepsut's temple is simply beautiful.

im always sceptical when these stories about Jesus come up at this time of year but the experts believe they've found Christ's burial slab in Jerusalem,
whether it is or isn't, it is still an interesting historical find!

A Saudi student at the University of Wisconsin-Stout named Hussain Saeed Alnahdi was attacked by an unidentified man on Sunday outside Topper's Pizza in downtown Menomonie, Wisconsin. He was found unconscious and bloodied and he died on Monday. The person responsible for the attack and his death has not yet been found by the police. :frown: The motive of the crime is currently unclear.

they would have called it an Act Of Terrorism if a Saudi killed someone like that, so what im saying is...

are they calling this an Act Of Terrorism or does that only apply when someone from the Mid-East kills???? (he says with more than a hint of sarcasm!)

More information about it http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2016/10/31/uw-stout-student-dies-after-assault/93091678/

Yeah, they likely would have called it an Act of Terrorism if the person who committed the crime was of Middle Eastern descent or was Muslim. But no, the murder of Mr. Alnahdi is not being called one as far as I know.
