World cup 2014 - SteveO - 08-07-2014
5 - 0 first half ...Germany !!!,,, Brazil never impressed me at all through the whole tournament to be truthful !!!!!
World cup 2014 - Jerome - 09-07-2014
Germany 7 Brazil 1 - what a wipeout!!!! A lesson in German efficiency, precision & discipline. My prediction was a Germany - Holland final. One more to go.
World cup 2014 - CRAZY-HORSE - 09-07-2014
yes...what a game...
the three words you used to describe the German team is almost exactly what i put up on FB this morning just after the match finished...
the Dutch can most definately beat Argentina tomorrow morning(my time), and i'll be rooting for them...
they, and the German team are the two best teams in this World Cup...
World cup 2014 - SteveO - 09-07-2014
The Germans and Dutch are straight ahead run with the ball teams...no OLAY passes back and forth to lull the opposition to death ...boring...Brazil and Argentina play footsie football...this will and did backfire against the Germans and Dutch so don't be surprised by a Holland blowout !!!
World cup 2014 - Jerome - 10-07-2014
Oh dratty pooh - Holland gone, Probably the most boring game of the tournament so far. Germany must be the favourite for the final now.
World cup 2014 - SteveO - 10-07-2014
I agree, Jerome, with Holland gone I guess it will be Germany ! Holland should have put Krul in goal again !!!!...lol
World cup 2014 - MAG2NYC - 15-07-2014
This was heralded as the German theme song for the World Cup road to victory. I like it!

Great video all over! Thanks Mary ! Are you a soccer fan ?
World cup 2014 - SteveO - 15-07-2014
Well as many predicted, Germany won its' fourth World Cup...a dull defensive match until Germany scored in the 113th minute! Thank lord it didn't go into penalty kicks...no one really wins then in my mind!...Why didn't Muller get The Player of the World Cup award or was it just for most goals ..Golden Boot...I guess Messi would win based on most goals ? Otherwise I can't see why a losing team would get the award...especially after the Germans demolished Brazil!...politic again ????
I hope the public revolt against the 2016 Olympics !!!!!...the country can't afford two major events in two years let alone in twenty ! They can't afford it and obviously don't give a dam about their citizens!

I loved that video! My best friend is German, and she was home visiting her family during the run for the Cup. She said that it was really crazy - and fun - to be home the night they won, and then she sent me the song!
I'm a footy fan for sure! Manchester United is my team! (even when they're losing...I'm a *real* fan, not just a fickle "on board when you're winning, dump you when you're losing" kind of fan *laughs*).
How about you, SteveO? Soccer fan?
(sorry for another long absence, Comcast went down in Chicago for THREE DAYS! ARRRGH!!)
