Terriers A 1-year TV show on FX based vaguely on the Rockford Files: Bust-out but cleaned-up alcoholic cop working as a PI with a sketchy partner. Darned shame because it had all the elements in place--good actors, quirky but believable stories, well-written, production and production values in place--it just failed to find enough of an audience.

Alice Cooper was involved in a repeated episode of Room 101, a light hearted TV show in which three celebrities consign things they don't like to the fictional room.

First, in the modern life category, Cooper proposed reality TV stars, while his co-celebrities Chris Tarrant and Chris Packham opted for Jedward (twin wannabes) and Chris Moyles (DJ) respectively. Cooper won and the reality TV stars were 'sent' to Room 101. Next was the animals round: Cooper chose people who keep wild animals as pets, Tarrant went for parrots and Packham (himself a TV naturalist) added homo sapiens. Presenter and judge, Frank Skinner, selected parrots as the 'winner' on the basis that Cooper himself kept wild animals. It's all a bit tenuous.

For the wild card entry, Tarrant offered TV advertisements selling insurance, Packham bravely selected children's art on the fridge and Cooper said he hated clowns that make animals from balloons. A balloon sculptor, Graham, was brought on for effect with a lifesize sculpture of Alice Cooper and snake. Graham claimed it had taken 15 hours to make. Cooper asked, 'Has anyone got a cigarette?' Skinner decided that the insurance ads won, making Tarrant overall winner. Tarrant was given yet another choice and threw in Sooty, a cute children's puppet. It was all a bit silly, but harmless fun, unless you are a serious Sooty fan.

Alice Cooper, like Rick Wakeman, usually comes across pretty well in programmes like this and Room 101 was no exception, but I would prefer to have seen him in a live performance, albeit from the seventies.

There were several episodes and the following one involved Aussie feminist Germaine Greer, 'comedian' Ross Noble and sexy soul singer Jamelia.
