i remember Jerome asking me a few months ago if they use "fracking" in Australia...i said i believe so but wasnt sure which States do so.
i was also unsure as to exactly what Fracking was....anyway,
last night i watched a documentary called gasland 2 which was about that particular gas extracting process that is happening allover the world...
i was surprised to find it is happening right here in WA...
its quite scary know i know what the damage is in the environment,to people's lives who live around the areas they frack etc....
anyway....
very well made doco if anyone can find it to watch!

"rod stewart-the avo sessions" on Studio Channel...
ok, Rod really dropped off my radar around the time he made that stupid "body wishes" album in 84-85ish...
i did buy a few singles after that time but not many, and certainly no albums....
i watched this live performance to see if he can still 'do it'...
the set was a greatest hits set....all good songs, but Rod's voice lacked the strength and clarity it once had...
in fact he sounded flat and tired at times,the backing singers made up for it though...
show ended with the perenial classic "sailing"...he was ok doing that one as it was a ballad,
but things like "do ya think im sexy"...he couldnt cut it, thank God he didnt try to prance around like he did back in the day in his skin tight pants!
i guess the diehard fans would have loved it, but he gets 5/10 from me for the performance but 10/10 for his staying power of over 40yrs!
