I deleted that one deliberately...

Just watched the next one though...
Interview with McCartney then short interview with Bennett and Gaga
Tony and Gaga performed two tracks off their Cheek To Cheek album, good stuff!

Was surprised during the Macca interview that Ringo has only just been nominated for R&R HoF induction

as a solo artist...i totally agree.
on the other hand though, between 1970 and earlt 73 he was the most successful ex-Beatle on the US/UK singles charts, that said,i dont really rate ole' Ringo as a singer anyway.

The fact that he was the drummer for The Beatles finally qualifies him! Professional drummers have said that he was a very good drummer, the beat in Beatles! He is out there playing and keeping the Beatles' music alive as well as Paul. I can cite a few inductees who are really not worthy, they are much lesser known than Ringo! They should have just had one inductee a year like we do here,,,lol! It would avoid the Hall of Fame from becoming watered down and insignificant.

He is in the R&R HoF as part of Beatles, but as a solo artist I beg to differ...there must be dozens of others more worthy than Ringo.
But hey,he was a Beatle and few will knock him.

I hear you on the "...I beg to differ..." AS A MUSICIAN. He was a back-door candidate as a drummer; however as a guy that got stuff done, he's non-pareil. I direct your attention to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringo_Starr_%26_His_All-Starr_Band << He has kept a lot of good musicians in the public consciousness with these touring shows--for that alone, he deserves his place in the HoF; assuredly those musicians would agree. It's usually unwise to judge artists by the merely obvious; it's wise to look deeper, to dig deeper into a guy's advancement of music OVERALL.
