- I know what you mean Steve, but Chelsea were very good in the sixties. I am a Southampton (Saints) fan, because I live near the city. I think Saints beat Leicester 2 - 0 this afternoon, keeping them second behind Chelsea in the premier league. Happy days!
- Do you mean I can start a general (association) football thread in the Chit Chat section?
- Yes, Warrington won 1 -0. They are 100 places behind Exeter in the league and are the lowest remaining club in the competition. I love it when part-time players beat professionals! League matches continue concurrently with cup and matches.
- You are correct again, England play Slovenia at Wembley on the 15th November, which is next Saturday. It kicks off at 5:00pm our time.

I can recall that Chelsea only had two FA Cup appearances in 1967 and 1970 against Tottenham(lost) and Leeds(won)....they had a replay against Leeds, the days when there was no extra time or penalty kicks)...hard to believe a replay...could take forever ...lol ...they never won a league title until 1997. Abramovich bought them in 2003. Now they are awesome! It's all a money game as you know! Glad your Saints are doing well! Defender Bertrand is on loan from Chelsea!

An FA Cup final or League title in the sixties was worth half a dozen in the modern era, because the Chelsea, Spurs and especially Leeds Utd players were a vastly different kettle of fish. I won't get started on what I think of modern players, except to add that my last music forum was run by a Canadian, who said (association) footballers should be made to play ice hockey! He was absolutely right.
I'll go ahead with the football thread, but what about a sports sub-forum with threads for different sports, teams or tournaments?
