second album by this twenty three year old ranga.....
a lot better than his debut "+", but still several filler tracks IMO.....
generally,not a bad writer for someone of generation....
strange thing is though, is that most of his songs are similar sounding,yet he performs quite eclectically when he is a featured artist on other
artist's singles....?
I guess youre either going to like Eddie or youre not....
me, I like him, and his hit "thinking out loud" is one of the best singles of he last decade IMO....
this album has been out almost two years now and is still riding high on the UK/AU/NZ charts where it recently returned to the top of those charts once again....
looks like being the biggest selling album once again for the second year in a row on the UK album charts this year(unless something really special gets released
between now and xmas)
all up a good album, I think from memory that his debut was about half filler and I didn't like it overall, this one fairs a bit better with only four of the twelve tracks
being filler to me, but that is offset nicely with the fact that I love four of the tracks also....

this is a best of set released just months before their major label debut with Warner
although the band had yet to break big, this would summarize the I.R.S. years
all but 1 track were on previous albums

debut album from this so-called Alt-Rock singer....
not really much Rock on this one, a couple maybe if she's lucky....a couple of pop tracks but mainly acoustic/semi acoustic ballads....
she has a raspy voice which would suit rock and/or jazz/blues though...
a reasonably good debut set, at least there is variation in the songs,no autotune and nor is it full of 'beats' and samples, so cudos to Elle
for not doing what just about every other female singer is doing right now....

I think I own three or four of their studio albums, this one passes but its not as good as the others...
