RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 15-12-2017 Yeah I know, insurances are the biggest legalised scams around.. Like you said, they're happy to take the money but find any excuse not to pay out RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Ruby - 21-12-2017 The first time they've been nominated - long overdue ... http://teamrock.com/news/2017-12-21/justin-hayward-thrilled-at-moody-blues-hall-of-fame-induction The other 2018 inductees will be Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits, Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Jerome - 22-12-2017 I agree - LONG overdue. Fantastic band. RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Jerome - 29-12-2017 I was looking at the news on Yahoo and I came across this article supposedly about a North Korean ship and a Chinese vessel transferring oil at sea in contravention of the current embargo on North Korea. But then I had a close look at the photos https://uk.news.yahoo.com/chinese-ships-spotted-satellites-apos-152120180.html The picture on the bottom right does not match the colour and consistency of the other three images. Also, if you look at the ship itself, it appears that the large white elongated section of the bow immediately above the ship's name (Rye Song Gang 1) does not appear on two of the other images of the same ship. It's like the photo on the bottom right is not the same ship as the one depicted in the other three images. Any thoughts anyone? For example, is the large white section detachable ??? or am I missing something obvious here. Who's kidding who here? BTW I don't have any online presence (Twitter/FB/Google etc.) If any of you are active on any political forums I would like to see what sort of response you would get if you posted this on one of them. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If not, then what the hell is going on? Reminds me a bit of all those WMD's that never surfaced....... RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Music Head - 29-12-2017 hold on are you saying my government would lie to me? RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Jerome - 29-12-2017 https://youtu.be/G_UXvcr22rM I wouldn't dream of it - all I am saying is that they're not telling you the truth LOL! RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-01-2018 could be huge implications within the music industry if this action against Spotify is successful : https://www.reuters.com/article/us-spotify-lawsuit/spotify-hit-with-1-6-billion-copyright-lawsuit-idUSKBN1ER1RX RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Ruby - 09-01-2018 Joan Baez is releasing a new album on 02 March - her first in ten years - Whistle Down The Wind .The title track was written by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan and it's an album of covers by her favourite songwriters. Here's the article ... http://www.clashmusic.com/news/joan-baez-announces-first-studio-album-in-10-years. It's also her 77th birthday today. A class act IMHO ... here's that title track ... RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Music Head - 10-01-2018 ^^ beautiful except for that whistling I usually cringe at whistling unless it's from a bird do you like Judy Collins? RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - Ruby - 10-01-2018 ^Even Roger Whittaker? Whistling, that is? I don't mind it in smallish doses, provided it's well done. I don't know very much of Judy Collins' work, but have liked what I've heard - a true, 'clean' voice. If you haven't already, maybe try Spotify to listen to Still & Collins Everybody Knows - their new album. Clips on YT are few and far between. Obviously neither of them is at the peak of their vocal abilities now, particularly Stills, but on first listening I found the album quite comfortable, and charming. They're so at ease with one another. |
