Zuma is a classic piece of work IMO(but then, i am biased towards Neil Young).

Didn't plan on finding much on this one. Pretty sure I picked this one up because I saw Gus Dudgeon produced it and
it was on Rocket Records. The Elton connections were enough at the time. Was not disappointed at all. Howard Werth
was the founder of a Brit band called Audience which ran from 67-72. Werth had some high profile friends in members
of Zeppelin, Floyd, Genesis, Rod Stewart, and was approached by the Doors Ray Manzarek as a possible replacement for
Jim Morrison before the decision was made to shut the Doors. After Audience split this album was Howard's first
project and the only album billed as Howard Werth & The Moonbeams. It's a pretty good album just missing the love
mark with three love tracks and nothing I don't like. Distinct vocals that remind me of someone, but as usual not
sure who. If you guys can place it clue me in. My brain hurts. No clip for any of my love tracks.

The groups masterpiece and has to be in my top 10 albums of all time. Six love tracks of the nine and The Last
Resort always gives me chills. That would be my favorite Eagles song of all time. Not a bad song on the album. Of
course there is that short instrumental reprise of Wasted Time that kicks off side 2. I even give that a like but it
should have just been the end of the song on side 1. The cd would have made that better, as they would run together.
Flipping the album over sort of ruins the continuity. This is the bands fifth album and Joe Walsh had just come on
board to replace Bernie Leadon. Didn't really think Joe would fit with this band. I was wrong. He makes Pretty Maids
All In A Row work. It remains the bands best selling album with 16 million copies sold. They got two Grammys for the
songs Hotel California and New Kid In Town, with the big one, Album Of The Year, losing out to Fleetwood Macs
Rumours. The two mentioned tracks both made #1 here, with a third single of Life In The Fast Lane at #11.Of course
the album was #1 here, also in Canada and Australia, with a #2 in the U.K.

LEEROY STAGGER - Little Victories (2010)

Canadian singer songwriter Leeroy Stagger's sixth studio release. I love this album! His style is pegged as alternate country and rock reminiscent in some passages of Steve Earle and Tom Petty. A great album!

Joe South wrote Hush which was a very good cover by Deep Purple in 1968

SteveO did a Joe South recently but I don't remember which one, and I'm too lazy to look it up. One of the great
overlooked artists in my book. I see where the guy passed away just last month and I never even heard that. Looks
like we need an R.I.P. thread. This is listed as Joe's first album, but it has Games People Play on it, which is the
title of his second album. I'm confused. Joe South has that white southern funk sound for me. Always reminded me of
Tony Joe White, or is it the other way around. Joe never really made it commercially, although well respected by the
industry. Even the Grammy for Song Of The Year for Games People Play in 1970 didn't help. That was the kiss of death
back then. A lot of Joe's songs were hits for other artists. The biggest of those here is Rose Garden which was a #1
country hit for Lynn Anderson in 1971. Love that by either Lynn or Joe. In fact there are seven songs I love on this
album. That's hard to achieve on a studio album. Aha, I found the answer, this album was shuffled and reissued as
Games People Play the year following this release. What a ripoff! I think I have them both, lol.
