it seems like another of those series that always poses more questions than answers and then drag on with intestinal banality for several seasons before theyre taken off the air!

About the Barry Gibb piece, or more accurately, ?Love and the Roots Crew backing him up. You can make a case they are the best TV show band ever...not least because he's/they've done so much good independent work. Paul Schaeffer's group is equally good but his (Schaeffer's) indy work is only so-so. And then there's Doc Severinson and all the terrific players he had...such a different era though.

yeh i agree with that call on the Roots...they are as tight as any band i have ever heard...
now, Elvis Costello is normally a perfectionist in the studio and musically his albums are pretty darn good, but his last one "wise up ghost" had The Roots as his band...they were simply awesome on that album, i mean, you could set a watch by the time they keep!
i have one of their studio albums also, not sure which one(its fifteen past midnight here) and that is crisp stuff also
