i doubt it...but his studio band The Roots have made quite a few albums...generally in the r+b,funk genres is where theyd fit...
they were also Elvis Costello's backing band on his last album "wise up ghost" last year.
theyre very good muso's and a very "tight" band.
they also jam a lot on the Fallon show with other guest performers at times so theyre very versitile.

I think that lost in the general hoo-ha about Dolly Parton is how good a songwriter she has been. Just for one example: when the crap has built up inside me and I just gotta get it out, a playing by anybody good of "I Will Always Love You" gets it all out. I'm OK with you calling me a sap, 'cuz I've gotten the benefit. i like Dolly's earlier material...pre that stupid "nine to five" crap from around 1981ish...after that she lost me!
"coat of many colours" is her greatest song IMO.
you mentioned "tennessee mountain home" also, gotta love that track, "jolene",good crossover country...
"i will always love you", pretty hard to beat Whitney's cover version, but Dolly's original is still cool...
that track was writeen by Dolly specifically for Elvis Presley,sadly Tom Parker wanted half the writers royalties to let Elvis sing it..Dolly declined and recorded it herself, stating "ive put two years into this song, and he(parker) wants half the money for none of the hard work", yeh, i agree with her, and you know what, Elvis probably wasnt aware of that!
