just in the process of making homemade salmon cakes at the moment,
they end up being around 90% salmon and 10% potato (as a binder)
added flavours include fresh ginger and lemongrass.
will make some sort of salad to accompany it.

lean prok chops with salad...
BTW
our salads change, its not all the same
we intermix a series of about a dozen different things on a rotation so it doesnt get monotonous
heres an idea of the different thing we put in our salads
: various tomatoes, sprouts, beans (canned), corn (canned and fresh). beets (canned and fresh), lettuce, spinach leaves, various cheeses, olives, celery, carrot,
various fruits (grapes, melon, citrus segments, avocado, apple, sultanas, pineapple etc), natural greek yoghurt/mayonaise...
we occasionally include rice salad, potato salad, slaw, pasta salad to mix things up a bit also...

Mushroom Wellington. At one point I thought it was going to be Mushy Wellington but miraculously, it turned out quite well!

LOL
i saw my Tuesday morning, Dad's 78, Mum 72.
Mum is getting very forgetful, the Dementia test came back fine, so forgetfulness it is apparently...
anyway,
Dad was telling me that on Monday they went to the shops and bought the beef they needed for a stew that night but God knows why anyone would want a stew this time of year!
Mum made the stew served it up and they started eating it
Dad didnt want to upset her about her forgetfulness so he ate it
it was basically a plate of gravy, dumplings and chopped 'root veg', she had forgot to put the meat in it.
Mum realised a short while later and burst into tears...
it bought home the fact how bad her memory has got.
even though we are well aware of it, its still sad to hear a story like that.
