Music Head Wrote:Glen Hansard on Letterman show

why songs need music
otherwise it's just reciting poetry

I agree. This needs music.

Q: and why are they exactly 'disrespected' so much???

A: maybe it has something to do with the lame beats, foul language, skanky videos and stupid lyrics...hmmm!, i think i could be right there!?!

and if they all want to be so-called "gangsters", they should enjoy being "disrespected and hated", its all a part of the image they give out!

I think you nailed it
They demand respect and continue to put out the trash they do
I could rant forever about it, but that would no doubt offend people
As long as every damn single I pull up is filled with disrespectful language, they will never have my respect
I can't even comprehend how adults think like that
and so much for the music brings the world together bullshit

Stuff the rappers - they have taken what was once an artform and turned it into a cheap, disposable commodity. Union? What they need is a firing squad. When the human race finally wakes up and moves on from this talentless lot Sgt Pepper's & DSOTM will still be there. These arseholes wont.

BTW - respect is earned - not sold.

Crude language, indifference to women, repetitive drum beats, predictable rap rhythm all make this music pathetic!

...and that is why all those old "classic albums" still sell year in and year out...

same goes for the live performances IMO also...

a lot of those 'newish' artists either lipsync or simply cant cut it live which is why the likes of McCartney,Springsteen,Stones,Elton,Hollies,Burden,Buddy Guy etc etc still have an audience awaiting them when they tour...
im not saying the older artists are still great performers, but the punters still get value for money when they/we see them live, ie: they put on a half decent show, the music and vocals are 'live' and most importantly they are 'real' entertainers/performers.
