I listened to Bowie's Next Day album again and it's very good! Also one that escaped me - Rod Stewart's Time rock album from this year was very good. all straight ahead rock..no crooning on this one! It won't appear on any year end charts though!

Elton's "the diving board" was pretty good, so much so that its on my list to buy
