Happy Halloween - SteveO - 30-10-2014 What JazzBo said " a hackneyed expression is one that's old, tired, used up, and shows one is only dimly capable of fresh thinking and expression " rebelgi Happy Halloween - Lovely Linda - 31-10-2014 SteveO Wrote:What JazzBo said Sorry but I still don't know the meaning of everyone's version of Satanism or your thoughts on my beliefs. I'm just confused. This thread was just a simple Happy Halloween one nothing more. Oh well. Guess I'm just a dummy. Anyway still watching The Conjuring that is on HBO On Demand. The more I watch it the more it bothers me. I'm shaking right now inside. Happy Halloween  Happy Halloween - SteveO - 31-10-2014 You know something Reb, I am only listening to white prog metal instead of black metal and I really can't tell the difference because in a lot of cases the lyrics are so distorted I have no idea what they are singing about!!!...sorry to get off of the Halloween thread but there is a tremendous amount of Christian White Rock and Metal out there! I am impressed!...I wish Canadian Netflix had The Conjuring ...Netflix kind of sucks up here! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Happy Halloween - nuke-tan - 31-10-2014 I love halloween, going trick or treat soon, here's a nice little spooky tune to get in the mood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yGxoNB5UKs&list=UUt-g4dkyyjNwYYAA-_3Scfg Happy Halloween - Lovely Linda - 01-11-2014 SteveO Wrote:You know something Reb, I am only listening to white prog metal instead of black metal and I really can't tell the difference because in a lot of cases the lyrics are so distorted I have no idea what they are singing about!!!...sorry to get off of the Halloween thread but there is a tremendous amount of Christian White Rock and Metal out there! I've seen many many horror movies but none including The Exorcist has touched me like The Conjuring. It even scared the crew who were here. The girls would not even watch there own movie. I don't know much about Metal. That's one type of music I have never really got in contact with....Hi nuke-tan. Glad you are enjoying Halloween mile: That was my Dad's Birthday. He would have been 82 had he lived. We used to have some wild parties....A little Halloween story from my neice when she was little. She went to my Uncle's church one night. Well, her Mom had already bought her a Halloween costume and she was looking forward to going Trick or Treating. My Uncle at his church would have Fall festivals but told the kids they could dress in costumes as long as they were not "evil costumes". My Uncle said you (the kids) don't have to go Trick or Treating you can come to church. My little neice at the time who was so looking forward to going Trick or Treating stood up in the front of the church and said YES WE DO!!!! Everyone laughed. She has a child of her own now and is the neice whose house was and maybe still is haunted.
Happy Halloween - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-11-2014 The only horror movie that has ever scared me was the original "evil dead"'....the original "exorcist" and "the omen" were freaky also.... Ooops, forgot to add "the ring" to that short list. Happy Halloween - Lovely Linda - 01-11-2014 ...This is a interesting clip from one of the daughters. The third one bothered me but the others no. Only reason the third one bothered me was because of some things the beast said in front of a statue that was suppose to be Christ. The first time I saw The Exorcist was at the movies. When the scene of her head was spinning around I left but I was young. It was a Bad movie because of things done such as with the Cross. Not scary bad but I would have been very upset if I had been a part of that movie and would have said no. I have not seen evil dead. Happy Halloween - jazzboCR - 01-11-2014 OK we're done with all that--can we get back to being real for another 364 days? I'm an atheist--there is no life before or after this one--and it's a certainty that nobody comes back in any form, fleshly or otherwise. All horror stories/tales are merely lightly-dsiguised ways to express modes (some flat weird/psychopathic) of the human, this-world condition--nothing more, nothing less. If you think otherwise, I fear for your mental stability/agility and overall mental health--why do you need to believe in ghosts and goblins? This world isn't freaky enough for you? This world isn't freaky enough for you? That's just your opinion jazz. You think you know everything!! You are in the minority. Most people believe in God and the Devil and if you don't, Lord help you!! If you could just experience what some of us believers have you would change your outlook in a second!! Don't try to monitor our posts just because you are not wise enough to believe in God!! Where do you think we came from. Even Islam believe in God even though some of their thoughts are warped!! |
