You'll probably get to the National before I do.
Let me know how it comes out.

Don't have any Jimmy Eat World although I have heard a few tracks I like, maybe not off this album though.

Marvins a must have for sure.

Wanted to get a few best of collections in my purchases, but just too much new I wanted, and I've been on a dry spell.

I owed this on vinyl .....................in my original record collection which was lost!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I managed to track down this excellent reissue.

Noosha Fox's excellent vocals are still so distinctive and clear, the style is early eastern

crossover pop...............

Well worth the 6 Euros !Cool

ChristianScott, might be interested to hear this album actually... didn't Mr Scruff use one of his tracks on his So Solid Steel album??
Anyway, I was lucky at Xmas and got some good albums:-

U2 : Boy (Deluxe Edition) for the extra B-sides and when U2 were good
David Sylvian : Brilliant Trees
Gorillaz : Plastic Beach
Crowded House : Temple Of Low Men
Bruce Springsteen : The Promise
Coldplay : X&Y
Aphex Twin : Richard D James album
Bonobo : Black Sands
and even the Greatest Hits of Swing Out Sister too !!

Sorry, but I don't know. I'd never heard of Mr Scruff until you mentioned him. I briefly checked out Scruff's history and it seems possible, if not entirely likely, he might have used one of Scott's more upbeat jazz songs on one of his mix-CDs. But, Scott is a good listen. Perhaps too unmelodic for jazz novices, but good for those with a sense of jazz adventure.

What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 04-01-2011

the National cd is pretty good MH, wasnt keen on it first time i listened to it but its grown on me, somewhere between 1.8 & 2.0 sounds fair

i also bought George Thorogood 'best of' on cd this morning,it should sound good on cd, i have the vinyl and am slowly updating my vinyls to cd when i see them on special.
