RE: The new project - Jerome - 16-08-2020 Been spending the last few days working to complete 'Ebb & Flow' Part one - roughly the same length as one side of a vinyl album. I estimate about 2 days work left and then it's done. Part 2 is progressing well too but that's going to take a bit more time. Have to wait for the idea fairy to land his/her spaceship somewhere in the general vicinity of my brain. RE: The new project - CRAZY-HORSE - 16-08-2020 looking forward to hearing the final product J-man RE: The new project - Jerome - 25-08-2020 My main master midi keyboard is getting a bit old now - I've had it for almost 17 years - so I decided to buy a 'standby' keyboard, just in case. I ordered a Swissonic 88 key - I did not expect much because it only cost about 250 Euro's. My original Roland A-37 cost more than twice that all those years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by what arrived today - wonderful build quality and loads of functions. I mention this so that anyone who is thinking of getting a master midi keyboard should consider buying this. Great bloody value for money. In this day and age it's rare that you get anything good for a reasonable price. Money well spent. I am actually so impressed with it I am going to buy a second one and hook that one up permanently to one of my outboard synths and save myself the hassle of changing midi cables etc. RE: The new project - CRAZY-HORSE - 25-08-2020 ^^ i just googled it. looks pretty snazzy. RE: The new project - Jerome - 26-08-2020 Stumbling at the final hurdle. Part One of 'Ebb & Flow' is tantalisingly close to being finished but the last few minutes are eluding me. Waiting for the 'ideas fairy' to grace me with her presence. But as always - will sleep on it and something inevitably pops out of the ether that is my disorganized (and disturbed I might add) brain. Normally not what I am expecting at all. That's the fun part. Seeing what arrives from the mothership. Waiting for it is not. Bugger. That album title 'The Fine Art of Surfacing' comes to mind.. RE: The new project - Music Head - 26-08-2020 well rats all in this town going boom RE: The new project - Jerome - 27-08-2020 You got it in one MH! Oh goody - the ideas fairy landed at 2am this morning. That gives me 4 hours to get stuff done before work today. RE: The new project - SteveO - 27-08-2020 I would certainly enjoy listening to your new composition J Man ! I am very much a night owl Ruby. I am up at all hours of the night - on a 'normal' day I get up around 4am anyway. But I go to bed pretty early as well. Don't bother with going out and socialising much anymore. Those days has went. |
