A gift from a mate. And how appropriate that this would come up right when his Fogerty concert does. Hope it was as
good as this, but I can't see how that's possible. I have all of the studio albums, but nothing on cd, so this is a
welcome addition. Twenty tracks and loving sixteen of them. Hard to top that. This has to be one of the best
selling compilation albums of all time, showing as 8x platinum. Whenever I see the catalogue albums chart, it is
still selling. Sometimes you just don't realize how great an artist was until you hear all of the hits together.
All of the major hits are on here plus some b-sides that could have been hits. Didn't even know there was a volume
2 that will now be added to my list. All but three tunes on here are Fogerty originals, showing the man was a
master of his art. Hated to see them call it quits, but it is better to burn out than to fade away. Had to go with
an original for my favorite. but I Heard It Through The Grapevine is one of the few covers I like better than the
original. One of the best drumming performances ever from Doug Clifford. Love every cymbal crash. Drum machines my
ass.

this one would certainly get a score from me at least as high as yours has....and just got home from Fogerty, he still has the voice to perform these hits live(full report in about 12hrs after i get some sleep!)

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL "best of..." cd,2008.

like MH, have all the studio albums but mine are on cd, only bought this one to have a compillation for the car cd system.
several tracks different on his to mine, mine has 24 in all, his 20...guess i got the extra tracks as my version of "grapevine" is the standard 3 minute single version, MH's is the brilliant 11minute epic jam!
pretty much the same score as MH here, and again, the same comments...you dont realise how good an artist is until you hear all the hits in one package...these guys found a unique sound,stuck to it, and still, every song they ever made was good or great IMO,
trying to pick a favourite track here is impossible IMO as there are at least ten i would pick on any given day..
im not going to put links to the songs MH posted above, just the others that arent on his "best of" collection..
